Can you tell me what exactly is the issue with the local police of a house not really wanting foreign warships of the biggest possible kind inside their doorsteps without invitation, or why outright caution or fines in case of law breach are the wrong responses in situations like that?
Its the part that we wanted to LEAVE the house systems for the border Worlds (where i guess these Ships belong). A Bretonian Battleship granted us free passage, as we meant no harm and just wanted to jump from Poole to O49. But then the little BPA guy insisted on us either paying or getting shot at. That is pure greed for money and Pew Pew and does not show any of the aforementioned "warmth", but rather the " overbearing wall of rules and laws, or a coldly formal correspondence between people with sterilized souls".
Outright caution? yes, not wanting those huge warships in their house space? yes. But actually denying these ships to LEAVE house space, causing them to AGAIN fly through their house space, is plain stupid.
BAF Battleship Thunderer says youre free to go as long as you leave bretonian house space asap and never return, but BPA Wampler (i guess?) INSISTED on PEW PEW.
He did this once before, insisting on me RETURNING (!) to house space so he can fine or shoot me (??).

Do something thats not in the script of some tunnel-visioned RPers, and riot ensues.
Like, fly some Zoner whales through Bretonia, and every BPA* is attracted to you like a friggin magnet and immediately wants his 5 million credit fine or you "face annihilation".
Or fly a Zoner Dreadnought through Bretonia, and every BPA* is attracted to you like a friggin magnet and immediately wants his 5 million credit fine or you "face annihilation".
Or fly a Zoner Dreadnought through Liberty, and every LN is attracted to you like a friggin ...
It mostly feels like despite some people want to actually RolePlay, the ultimate goal of most players is either pew pew or making money.
(For example some British lawful lad named "thunderer" (wonder who that might be) wanted to escort two Zoner Dreadnoughts (wonder who that might have been) out of Bretonian House space, but some BPA* jerk insisted on his 5 million credit fine, thus ending in an unnecessary battle, and not only once. No wonder those two Zoner Dreads despite playing for several hours never made it to Gran Canaria.)
* BPA = Bretonian Piracy Agency
As the Leader of BPA, I would like to answer you.
Zoner Whales are not illegal in Bretonia, I have never stopped one and demanded any money from them unless they were carrying contraband. If this has happened to you, then please pm me the information and I will look in to it.
Zoner Dreadnought in Bretonia - First time I met one of you was in NL at the Jump Gate to Manchester. I told you to stop but you proceeded to jump to Manchester (I could be wrong but Gran Canaria is the other way). You then proceeded to head to the Newcastle Jump Hole where I eventually stopped you, the other Dread was already there being talked to by another BPA Ship. You had plenty of time to cut your engines and talk but you refused. If you had stopped, at anytime, you would have been escorted out of Bretonia. Read Bretonia's Laws, you can pass through anytime just by contacting a BAF or BPA, in Game and they will escort you through. After that time the BAF decided to put a KOS order on you.
If you want RP,you have to work at it instead of just blindly carrying on your way and ignoring the Lawful Orders.
'I would like to be half as clever as some people like to believe they are' Life is full of disappointments, it is how we handle them that helps to define us, as a person

Zoners do not really have house space. He wanted me to return from Orkney to Edinburgh because he sensed on his "long range scanners" that i was flying contraband, and he therefore wanted to "check my cargo".

That was long after the incident with the dreadnoughts.

This is just about Wampler. We have followed a lawful order from the BAF, which was to leave house space, being escorted to the O49 jump hole, without a fine.
BPA)Wampler then recanted the decision by BAF, insisting on the fine.
That it was not the best RP on our side, yes, but my complaint is solely about the greedy behavior of Wampler.
Well, I have to agree here, what that BPA did there is just stupid, especially with Thund already present, handling the situation.
It is however unwise and unnecessary to display exact names when describing situations like that. It's called trial-by-forum and is generall frowned upon.

I was already "trialed by forum" over a year before you or St.Denis apparently even joined this community (at least with these accounts), and i am used to that
I feel that people should occasionally take a step back from the whole hyper-serious stuff and just have a laugh. Not that there's anything wrong with being edgy or super serious, but it's nice to have a refresher every now and again in the form of a character that doesn't take itself too seriously while remaining original. Really helps to liven up the place beyond the typical "I have a dark and tragic past" stuff and adds more character diversity to a universe that oughta be pretty diverse (kudos to thunderer for always being good with this sort of stuff).
I try to add a bit more feeling to things when I'm on Tal Ravis or writing his associated stories/roleplays, but how well I succeed in that is entirely up to the people on the other end of the screen. The prevalence of this serious (by your definition) roleplay is actually what drove me in part to make mister Ravis what he is today, and all the tea-sipping comm responses and stuff are just me trying to have some fun with it while (hopefully) providing some degree of entertainment for the readers.
I will agree that some people (see: 15-year olds) think that "funny" roleplay is spouting some stale internet meme that they just discovered while browsing Reddit or something. Please don't do this. It really isn't funny.
