It's also been pointed out to me that missions aren't meant to be much of a moneymaker, because a person flying solo on missions isn't creating much in the way of roleplay opportunity for other online players - as opposed to mining or trading for money, which does. Although it's a shame to not focus on missions sometimes, that reason does make some sense so this is less of an issue than I'd thought.
Much love, folks.
I may be a few days late to mention this, but the 'bounty' of the mission isn't the real money making part. If you have flown (and survived/won) a capital mission, the cargo of the caps (gunboats, cruisers, bs) carry crew and alot of times high-level credit commodities (like the 10,000 Credit card available at all bases, but in the forms of 100,000, and 1,000,000.) Snubs, alot of times, drop some of their weapons as loot for you to use (if you can do it without a bad core nerf)
In the end the more profitable path would be to go into the ore trade or passengers (from what an OSC told me a few days ago they have been buffed.) MIssions are usually to get your started or to pass the time.
