It was one random jump from NY (like directly next to the sun) straight next to the minefield in Bastille.
There you see what happens when I want that beer.

Jump drives have the ability to go into bastille, or even other area's like salisbury which is unaccessable. Blind jumps are without using co-ordinants and can take you anywhere. hue hue
Did this one, got catapulted into the minefield while launching my companion outside of it
edit: Look at inferno's post. there you can see more on it
I remember last time blind jumps getting set up in a way to insta explode ships if the jump would end up in an intentionally unaccessible system. That, or just fail the jump, either way you aren't supposed to be there if that mechanism is active. It's apparently not, or bypassed somehow.

The ship went boom but not quickly enough to avoid me noticing where I landed. Also jumped into Savoie afterwards. Unaccessible but didn't went boom. Just 2000k Cruise to the JH
Me watching the daily drama turn into yet another Disco-doomsday discussion:
The jumping ship is the one that goes boom. Anything that jumped with it (aka snubs or anything around the Mk3 drive) gets a free ride to unknown systems.
Speaking of this Diamond, you, me, about 4k of MOX, and another trip to Heaven's Gate. Let's have some fun times explaining how we got there to the local pilots.
