Im member of Samura aswell, and feel offended by one willing disband it when factions w a third of its activity are happy.
Gave its lead to Erik, if no other member interested, he leaded Kruger in my absence with better result than most other trading factions (well, proof enough is that the faction still alive, while many others vanished).
If no one else want, heck even i keep it up till find suitable candidate to lead it.
Theres no disbandment going. Theres still ppl flying it. If you dont want lead it Owen, pass to next member of the official faction.
Felipe, this announcement was made 02-28-2018 just over 2 months ago. It's kinda too late and if its members actually cared about playing Samura| (including you) They would have noticed this disbandment thread 2 months ago.

Samura is still official unless I'm missing something here. It's also pretty active if you look at the tracker, there's no need to disband and another leader could be found easily.
I still think it's much better to just get this faction a new leader, rather than make it start again from square one. For example, (sorry to use you as an example Meph) GMG- is the best chance the GMG NPC Faction has for officialdom, and look how much they're struggling to reach that point. GMG, much like Samura, is a key element of the mod in regards to the story right now. There are people motivated and interested to keep the Samura| flame burning, but how quickly will that motivation burn out if the officialdom is lost (even though some members still seem interested - they do meet the activity requirement after all)?
In this circumstance, disbandment just seems to be an overreaction from poor organisation and management at the HC level. Fix that, and I bet things will be right as rain again.

I have to disagree, the previous faction leader choose to disband the faction months ago, this isn't new news. Samura| and Shura clearly aren't working so let them die so that something new/better/fresh can be born in its place.
Just to add, I personally think that Owen did a great job with Samura but it was his decision to make as to who would be the 1ic of it if they carried on, infact I think he actually asked internally first.

The problem is that in a lot of cases that just doesn't work anymore. Factions disband, and the NPC faction just dies (or starts to).
