The more challenging, the better i say!
But, after what i read, the Gallic Corporations won't be hostile to you (correct me if i'm wrong), so you only have to find a base of them without Navy and Police around, then do some bribes and you're ready to go.
In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.
I have plans for an ex-GRP character, but that's about it as far as my Gallic interests go.
It's interesting, though. The Council appears like it might be one of the very, very few NPC factions which is really 'good'. It's also interesting that neither The Council nor the other 'good' faction I can think of (The Order) are really lawful (though not exactly unlawful either).
Uh, why shouldn't the Order or the Council be lawful? They're just at war with other lawful groups and employ asymmetrical warfare tactics, but they're not robbing, extorting or killing guys...
The council is technically unlawful, at least according to the wiki, im sure their alliance with the Maquis doesn't help. They always struck me as kind of a cross between the blood dragons and the order.

Both of them exist outside the normal lawful/unlawful boundaries. They are neither lawful nor really unlawful.
I thought the Order was technically (there's that word again) lawful. The governments they oppose or sometimes fight against have declared them unlawful. Perhaps a new category: Revolutionists (or Revolutionaries, apparently both are acceptable): someone declared unlawful by the gov because they are trying to change it into something they see as better without attacking the citizenry.
Frankly since I read about the Gallic factions I've been really excited about roleplaying a council member. The RP going with it sounds like it would be a lot of fun to explore and play as. If anyone is thinking of making a player faction (when then time comes) let me know and I'll hop on board.
Also, it will give me a chance to try out some of my mad skills from french class:lol:
It's going to be pretty funny to see people try to speak french when they'll RP this faction. My main language is French and i live with english people here in BC, when they try to speak french i get alot of fun xP
Wheater a faction is ;lawfull or not surely depends on the laws. For the order, Liberty laws say what it does is unlawfull, but other laws may not. As each house has it's own laws the term 'unlawfull' may be different from house to house. The council do appear to be rather neutral with gailic factions, so I agree it is neither 'lawfull' or 'unlawfull'
As for a Council character, I dont much like even slightly neutral factions much myself. I would prefer to fight, so I may make a Maquis or Brigand character or something.
