Check Grizzly again. Its very limited and not free for all. It also has a very low holdsize, but a very thick armour and superior firepower because it is not a freighter anylonger. It was in fact becomming an SHF like ship.
Yes, former Turanic is now CSF, a Turanic with CSV cockpit and front.
@Red Eclipse: A suggestion for Dromedary: 1 class 8 and 2 class 9 guns and 5 class 4 turrets. Also 10000 armour. As compensation 600 holdsize will be the maximum.
If you agree, i will forward this little buff to balance team.

AoM
Yeah, very nice stats, this is what i want! Fully agreed! Thanks :yahoo:
All guns get pushed up one class at least (Class 5 turrets and class 8 guns) powerplant boost to match the weapon boost, and a slight armour and cargo boost.
freighters kind of seem like SHFs without the torp slot, but with more cargo. As in, plenty of guns, nice shield, but meet a supernova and you are hell of dead.
Thats exactly the difference. SHF have Torp and better armour than freighters, while freighters have the holdsize.
Rheinland don't need a better Humpback, because of the custom Rheinland Armored Transport, which is the biggest freighter now with very good holdsize, but also very good armour and armament. Also a bit uber for a freighter if you ask me, but it is indeed a big mama.
Also i always propagate. House freighters, like a future Rhino MKII, Clydesdal, Drone and Camara should have bigger holdsize, but remain defensive by stats, while pirate/semilawful freighters have less holdsize, but remain offensive by stats. Eventhough both are freighters, they are splitted again in slightly different purposes. House freighters normally haul goods all day long and from time to time they must defense, while pirate/semilawful freighters are used for more risky jobs like smuggle and probably even piracy.
Most freighters, if not all buffed ones, have Eagle Powercore. Dunno about the Rheinland AT though.
A Correo, for example, with 2 class 8 shieldbuster and 4 class 4 turrets can shoot a very long time til the power is drained and deliver a good amount of damage meanwhile, because class 8 guns and class 4 turrets are more energy efficient than the 9 and 5 counterparts.
Ofcourse, the class 9 slots are occupied by CB and FS in my case. Against caps you have no chance obviously, but fighter will have a hard time.
Don't forget, freighter generally have 8 weaponslots with the ability to shoot 7-8 of them forward and with class 8 missiles we hopefully get in 4.86, you'll have a variety, fighter pilots only can dream about.

I demand a better Humpback!
...come to thinking of it, why is Humpback less maneuverable than Transport? I think some Vanilla Freighters should be beefed up.
' Wrote:I was under the impression Freighters didn't have mines. At least none of the Vanilla ones did.
Their power plant are to small. For example Dromedary have 10.000 capacity, Civilian Bomber have 48.000 capacity. Pilot of Dromedary have choice, mine spam or use guns. Power capacity analogous with Eagle, but it have a better angular distance.
