Greetings friend,
Sorry to disappoint, but it seems instead of resolving our mystery we've only doubled them. Baltic Sea is a Shukensha-class liner out of the Renzu shipyards.
One of my colleagues, Captain James Blackwood, flew out to get another set of eyes on the wreck and we agree from the evidence that what we're looking at here is an Oasis class. Admittedly, there is a slim chance of being a very battle damaged Enterprise but we both think that the Oasis is a much stronger candidate.
In either case, there's certainly no way to mistake a Renzu bird for either of those two classes, so this wreck is not Baltic Sea.
Which opens up a new mystery: who's ship is this? We haven't flown the routine commercial routes that the Oasis is designed for to New London since before the Gallic invasion, so either this ship is old, not one of ours, or was moved here by someone. I wish to investigate this matter further, and James offered a tantalizing clue that might get us on the right path. He said that the weapons platforms set up nearby fired on Rusty-Pilgrim but not on his vessel. This means that whoever placed those platforms has to be hostile to you but neutral to James. If we can cross-reference your reputation lists, we can narrow down our suspects and get to the bottom of yet another mystery.
So, who in Sirius have you pissed off enough that they'd shoot first and ask questions later upon you showing up on their scanners?
Regards,
Jonathan Seabourne
