Entry From:Kasumi Ito Vessel:Katakiuchi Location at time of Log Entry:Freeport 9, Omicron Theta Subject:Battlefield
With the Defiance completely out of commission and the Eventide undergoing repairs from her jaunt into Location Classified with Delta-4 and Order operatives, we're the only fieldable vessel here at Freeport 11 that can contend with the Nomad threat. Although the Katakiuchi is a small Destroyer, believe me when I say that she has teeth.
Mission Control at the Freeport have come to know us by our first names nowadays instead of our ship names. They know the exact missions that my crew and I can handle. They do, on occasion, send out other Zoners to back us up, but sometimes they can get in the way of our turrets. They know I prefer fighting alone though, so usually they will send us out without backup. We've only ran into problems twice. Both times we came back with severe damages but still kickin'. With the Defiance down for the foreseeable future and Eventide down for maintenance and critical repairs however, we can't afford to slip up. If we go down for repairs as well, that leaves the Nomad threat unchecked to regrow in this system and we can't have that. Looks like it's all on me.
Elysium's Shield really needs more people to help us out here. Zylar says "All in good time." but I'm starting to doubt that philosophy. We need to reach out to other Zoners and bring them into the fold.
Sigh...all in good time. Right.
Additionally, I'm attaching a comm. log we had with some Kusarian individuals outside of Freeport 11. Nothing much to report. Just a few discussions about what we're working on and their thoughts about it. I'll report more later if I see them around. Last reports had them headed back to Kusari though. Anyway, back to work. These squids aren't going to kill themselves.
[19.06.2022 02:58:06] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Ugh. One clean up done. Time to grab another sortie from Mission Control.
[19.06.2022 02:58:20] SC-SlaveLabor: I like when it's quiet like this. It brings hope that all patrols and task-forces are handling the situaton.
[19.06.2022 02:58:29] Zuiryu: Shimamori: greetings, zoner vessel. Would you mind updating us on the situation in the sector?
[19.06.2022 02:58:46] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Same as always. Killing Nomads and those...weird hybrid things.
[19.06.2022 02:58:52] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Kill four, six more show up.
[19.06.2022 02:59:12] Zuiryu: Shimamori: hybrids?
[19.06.2022 02:59:22] Zuiryu: Shimamori: first time I hear of hybrids
[19.06.2022 02:59:29] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: They call them "Renegades" here.
[19.06.2022 02:59:40] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: You'd know if you saw them. Creepy things.
[19.06.2022 02:59:52] SC-SlaveLabor: It is vesells than were.. captured.
[19.06.2022 03:00:02] Zuiryu: Shimamori: ah, the infectees
[19.06.2022 03:00:21] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Whatever they're called, they give me the creeps. Better to just blow them up.
[19.06.2022 03:00:25] Zuiryu: Shimamori: I believe, during the nomad war Kusari had to deal with some as well
[19.06.2022 03:00:43] Zuiryu: Shimamori: this makes sense. We have those in Tohoku at times
[19.06.2022 03:01:01] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Well, Zylar, me, and the rest of Elysium's Shield do what we can to clean up the Nomad presence here. It's a lot of work.
[19.06.2022 03:01:28] Zuiryu: Shimamori: seems like Freeport 11 got itself a new defence team
[19.06.2022 03:01:50] Zuiryu: Shimamori: last one I heard of was "Velvet". I think my retainer, Bolotov-san, is familiar with them
[19.06.2022 03:01:51] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Freeport 11 and every other place where the alien menace pops up. Tough work for only us two, but we do what we can.
[19.06.2022 03:02:47] Zuiryu: Shimamori: commendable.
[19.06.2022 03:03:07] Zuiryu: Shimamori: I believe there are more of zoners here doing the job. Doesn't the Core help?
[19.06.2022 03:03:11] SC-SlaveLabor: Hai. Well, looks like the Velvet wasn't needed anymore. Zoners are capable to defend themselves.
[19.06.2022 03:03:12] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: It's tough work. Never ending it seems. Zylar always gets the fun jobs.
[19.06.2022 03:03:25] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: We rarely see Core in these parts.
[19.06.2022 03:03:40] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: At least not any officials.
[19.06.2022 03:03:50] Zuiryu: Shimamori: in the House space the Core keeps telling the stories of their duty to the civilisation by taming the Omicrons
[19.06.2022 03:03:55] InfinityRealm: C:Could be because of these AI rumors lately
[19.06.2022 03:04:02] Zuiryu: Shimamori: namely, by pushing off the squids
[19.06.2022 03:04:10] Zuiryu: Shimamori: has the AI been active recently?
[19.06.2022 03:04:22] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Very active. And very aggressive.
[19.06.2022 03:04:38] InfinityRealm: C:Yes chasing Core and Hunting down Transport vessels
[19.06.2022 03:04:39] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Oddly enough, we've even seen some AI hunting down "defective units". Puzzling.
[19.06.2022 03:05:15] InfinityRealm: C:Recently lost a good friend of mine
[19.06.2022 03:05:28] SC-SlaveLabor: For my year of service in the Velvet, we've never encountered an AI. Things have changed indeed.
[19.06.2022 03:06:02] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: They're seem to be a lot of them. Usually around Auxo pilots which seems to explain some of why there are more of them.
[19.06.2022 03:06:32] Zuiryu: Shimamori: I have witnessed two AI nodes closer to Kusari fairly recently
[19.06.2022 03:06:51] Zuiryu: Shimamori: both were driven by self-reported "curiosity"
[19.06.2022 03:07:01] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: I would say approach them with caution. Some are friendly, but some are hostile as well.
[19.06.2022 03:07:06] SC-SlaveLabor: Have my condolences, Katakiuchi. I know how hard it is to lose battle brothers and sisters.
[19.06.2022 03:07:06] Zuiryu: Shimamori: however, one indeed proceeded to hostilities and had to be destroyed
[19.06.2022 03:07:34] Zuiryu: Shimamori: I second Bolotov-san's condolences. May they find peace
[19.06.2022 03:07:35] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: We've lost some, this is true. But we've killed way more of the alien scum than we've lost. I call that a net win.
[19.06.2022 03:08:19] InfinityRealm: C:But how many more good Men do we need to sacrafice?
[19.06.2022 03:08:25] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: We can't let the losses weigh us down, lest the Nomads smell the blood in the water and strike. We must always be ready
[19.06.2022 03:08:53] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: As many as it takes to bat the darkness back into the void where it came from. Grizzly words I know, but necessary.
[19.06.2022 03:09:02] Zuiryu: Shimamori: living in the frontier is like that
[19.06.2022 03:09:27] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Indeed. Omicrons are no place for the faint of heart.
[19.06.2022 03:09:39] Zuiryu: Shimamori: space is not always safe even back in the Houses with the outlaws and ragtags of all kinds
[19.06.2022 03:09:44] InfinityRealm: C:But even then theyre coming in Swarms never ending Swarms.
[19.06.2022 03:10:16] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Don't get us in Elysium's Shield or Zoners started about House space. We're not fans as you can guess.
[19.06.2022 03:11:34] Zuiryu: Shimamori: that is not my intention. It was just to underline the dangers of space
[19.06.2022 03:11:37] InfinityRealm: C:Mooring for an Upgrade.Be right back
[19.06.2022 03:11:48] Zuiryu: Shimamori: space is too vast for humans to have good grip over it
[19.06.2022 03:11:57] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: We understand. *Chuckles* Anyway, we need to get back to our patrols. Zylar wouldn't want us sitting around.
[19.06.2022 03:12:10] Zuiryu: Shimamori: if you are a zoner there is a reason why you prefer the frontier compared to a House. And that is fine
[19.06.2022 03:12:23] Zuiryu: Shimamori: individuals need to have freedom of movement and choice
[19.06.2022 03:12:23] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Indeed. Less restrictions here.
[19.06.2022 03:14:22] Zuiryu: Shimamori: well, perhaps it is time for us to get back to the imperial space
[19.06.2022 03:14:28] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Alright, it's time we get back to work.
[19.06.2022 03:14:34] SC-SlaveLabor: As you say, Shimamori-san.
[19.06.2022 03:14:39] Katakiuchi: Kasumi: Safe travels and stay safe. Many things lurk in the dark out here.
[19.06.2022 03:14:45] SC-SlaveLabor: I'm ready whenever you are.
[19.06.2022 03:14:47] Zuiryu: Shimamori: we wish you well in your missions, defenders. Ki wo tsukete kudasai

As requested, I'm submitting my first log entry. I've arrived at the location indicated by my briefing and am beginning my surveillance. We arrived with no fanfare. It's safe to say my arrival here has gone unnoticed for the time being but I'll keep my head on a swivel anyway. IFF configuration has been submitted via private, highly encrypted, communication link.
Reports, if anything changes, will come forthwith.
Entry From:Jack Vessel:Classified Location at time of Log Entry:Classified Subject:Report #2
Project Truthseeker has been completed on schedule. The cargo holds have been fully converted to pressurized crew quarters as well as storage areas to hold food, drink, and other amenities that we need for a long surveillance tasking. Additionally, the comm. array on the rear of the ship has been fully upgraded to transmit long distance communications should we need to go around the standard repeaters housed in different systems. We have picked up the vessel from Freeport 14 in Inverness and are going comm. silent under an advanced cloak. Please pick up our previous vessel that is now docked at Freeport 14 and return to service in Omicron Delta if required. The keys have been left with the staff aboard the station with specific instructions for it's care. We will send a report when we know more about what is going on in the location we have been tasked with investigating.
A bit of a tangent, during transit, we came across a Freelancer piloting a large vessel which according to our records appeared as if it may be a Pilgrim Liner; often referred to as a "Slave" Liner. The nickname was apt as the individual had a cargo hold full of Slaves heading in the direction of Tau-31. We can only assume they were heading for Omicron Alpha. We've annotated the brief conversation in the attached log for your viewing. Slavers disgust me, but considering our mission takes priority and the lack of weapons on our ship, there wasn't much we could do about it. The most we can do is watch out for our own people and ensure this filth doesn't take any of our own for selling in these despicable markets.
Entry From:Kasumi Ito Vessel:Katakiuchi Location at time of Log Entry:Freeport 11, Omicron Delta Subject:Exhaustion
Man, Freeport 11 has been paying out well the past couple of nights. Though it makes sense considering the Renegades seem to be multiplying in numbers as of late. Took care of a huge hunting party of around 30 or so Gunboats. They didn't even dent our shields though. Took them out fairly easy, it just took a while.
Delta has been fairly quiet on our patrols. Heard mention of a large Nomad passing through a while ago. Though when I went to look, I didn't seen anything. Maybe a rumor or maybe not.
Should keep on my toes just in case.
Zylar has been busy dealing with the Defiance and all the problems therein. Hopefully he'll be back to combat soon. I've heard the Eventide is back up and running again so I expect him to "start beating a Nomad with some rebar" as an Order pilot lovingly said about him the other day. Made me chuckle.
Anyway, giving my crew a rest. They've been kicking ass and they deserve it. We'll be back at it tomorrow.
Entry From:Zylar Vespertine Vessel:Eventide Location at time of Log Entry:Freeport 11, Omicron Delta Subject:Return to "Normalcy"
I'm back aboard the Eventide and we are moving out soon for sorties. Before I do so, I felt a bit of an update was needed.
Conversations continue with The Order concerning the Defiance and it's future. For the time being, the ship remains just outside of the Omicron Delta system with a skeleton crew under cloak. Until Elysium's Shield and The Order come to some sort of agreement, arrangement--whatever you want to call it--the ship will remain there. We were lucky the flight from Omicron Kappa didn't do more damage. Flying through the Jump hole between systems was nerve-wracking. I could hear the superstructure of the ship groaning and moaning under the gravimetric stresses the tear in space was exerting on the ship. I was so glad to see normal space on the other side before the Defiance ripped itself apart. I'm not in any hurry to have a jump hole malfunction on me again.
With the ship under cloak, we made our way back to Freeport 11 to where the Eventide was moored. After an absolute ear full from Kasumi on my absenteeism for the past couple of days, we set to work replenishing stocks in the carrier and are planning to move out in about two or three hours. I've asked Kasumi to give her crew my thanks and to see about giving them a few days off. She mentioned that she had already done so when she heard I was coming back to the station from the Defiance. We may not be a faction with any official rank structure, but why do I always feel like I'm the one in charge of the entire thing?
Oh well. Thoughts for another time, we've got some Nomads to kill. I'd better help with the restock. Maybe I can get us out of here sooner to go kill some squids.

Did my usual pass through the systems you wanted me to keep an eye on and to report anything funky. Came across five ships in one of these systems chatting it up. I remained just inside sensor range under a cloak and listened to what they were saying. I've recorded it to my logging system and have transmitted it via attachments.
Our scanners are having some issues picking things up outside of a certain range, we very nearly ran right into them. Even under cloak, that would've been a very bad thing. I'm requesting an overhaul of our sensor package to ensure that doesn't happen again. I don't do sloppy, Zylar. The sensor package was sloppy. I trust you'll fix this immediately.
We departed the system shortly before our cloak lost power. We were able to get around fifteen minutes worth of conversation before we departed. See the attachments.
[22.06.2022 09:41:10] Azure.Proxy: We uh...the freeport in...Shikoku. He was just hanging outside the station and we started talking.
[22.06.2022 09:41:36] Winter.Rose: Ah, have you only just met?
[22.06.2022 09:41:59] Azure.Proxy: Yep.
[22.06.2022 09:42:19] Winter.Rose: I see...
[22.06.2022 09:42:52] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: Aria, I do not believe I have met you before. But I have heard of you around the station.
[22.06.2022 09:43:13] Aria.of.Valravn: I come and go, like Will.
[22.06.2022 09:43:45] Aria.of.Valravn: It's instinctual of us not to stay in one place for too long. Either we get bored, or we find trouble.
[22.06.2022 09:44:11] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: A fair problem, I find it too... Though less when I avoid certain areas.
[22.06.2022 09:45:05] Aria.of.Valravn: *Chuckling* Finding trouble is one thing. It tends to find us, if I am being honest.
[22.06.2022 09:45:29] Winter.Rose: So it often goes.
[22.06.2022 09:45:53] Winter.Rose: What trouble has found you of late, Aria?
[22.06.2022 09:46:28] Aria.of.Valravn: Outcasts, mostly. Some old whispers from the past turn up here and there. Family troubles.
[22.06.2022 09:46:34] Aria.of.Valravn: Nothing out of the ordinary.
[22.06.2022 09:47:04] Winter.Rose: I see. Well, I do hope that you find those troubles leave you sooner than later.
[22.06.2022 09:47:13] Winter.Rose: Outcasts in particular are a bothersome sort.
[22.06.2022 09:47:53] Aria.of.Valravn: I agree. Though some of these troubles will take time to resolve.
[22.06.2022 09:48:11] Winter.Rose: Does William struggle with the same?
[22.06.2022 09:48:48] Aria.of.Valravn: He finds more trouble than I do. Sometimes he cannot help himself.
[22.06.2022 09:50:02] Winter.Rose: He seems like that sort of person, yes.
[22.06.2022 09:50:09] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: A man after my own heart *Chuckles*
[22.06.2022 09:50:14] Winter.Rose: Though he is very cautious.
[22.06.2022 09:50:49] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: *the chuckle sounds partially forced, performed as if deliberately trying to sound amused by her own joke*
[22.06.2022 09:51:06] Aria.of.Valravn: Experience did that to him. He spent most of his career directly around the Keepers.
[22.06.2022 09:51:26] Winter.Rose: The upper echelons of Auxesia, you mean.
[22.06.2022 09:51:41] Aria.of.Valravn: No, directly associated with the founders and leaders almost on a daily basis.
[22.06.2022 09:51:52] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: *the Manifold wayfarer briefly scans Spixii*
[22.06.2022 09:51:58] Azure.Proxy: *He mutters to himself, but its caught on his mic*
[22.06.2022 09:51:59] Aria.of.Valravn: Not just the Phalanx and the politics of it all. Close friends.
[22.06.2022 09:52:03] Spixii-[Fae: Get your scanny mittens off my ship.
[22.06.2022 09:52:06] Azure.Proxy: Huh,I find the interesting ones

[22.06.2022 09:52:31] Winter.Rose: Yes, I meant to clarify that you meant the Keepers as in Auxesia.
[22.06.2022 09:52:56] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: I was wondering what those fluctuations were.
[22.06.2022 09:53:10] Winter.Rose: From my experience in the moment...yes, I can imagine it would have been difficult to associate with them closely.
[22.06.2022 09:53:37] Spixii-[Fae: Never had to use it, thankfully.
[22.06.2022 09:53:54] ND)-Manifold.Wayfarer: I would appreciate you to continue not around our home.
Entry From:Kasumi Ito Vessel:Katakiuchi Location at time of Log Entry:Freeport 11, Omicron Delta Subject:The Quiet
It's been quiet the past several days. The Nomad menace continue their attacks but the overall activity in the system has been low. There was one day where we had quite a few traders passing through the inner system near Freeport 11. There were quite a few Freighters passing through the system carrying a variety of contraband headed for Zeta or Xi.
The Artifact trade concerns Zylar and myself. However, we can't demand they drop their cargo, and we don't want to agitate the Corsairs, but it's certainly something we don't like. Any thing developed, created, or even related to the squids has us concerned. Even if we can't do anything about it, we're going to heavily monitor it.
Other than that, it's been a normal few days. I'll have more to report later if anything happens or occurs.

Spent some time in New York over the past couple days. Lots of traffic passing through. Saw lots of contraband coming to Manhattan's new/old district. Cardamine, Artifacts, etc.
I'll be departing tonight heading for [Classified]. The [Classified] that we spoke about a few days ago is operational. It's less cloak time, more firepower, and better chance at getting away with the jump drive onboard. Just need to fine tune it. Damn thing takes three minutes to jump. Engineers tell me it's something about the coils being aligned to jump other ships with us...not something that's necessary in our line of work.
There's nothing much in these intelligence reports concerning the alien threat so, I'll be keeping them for my personal reserve as per our contract. If I hear anything, I'll let you know.
Entry From:Zylar Vespertine Vessel:Eventide Location at time of Log Entry:Freeport 11, Omicron Delta Subject:Conversations
Had a nice conversation with an Order representative last night. They stopped by Freeport 11 to discuss some things and simply say hi. Was a nice gesture.
Things've been quiet again. It's really starting to rattle my nerves. I can't let it show lest the crew see it. I don't want them to see that I'm rattled, because then they will be rattled...and we can't have that. Jack has reported some strange goings-on in the systems I requested he keep an eye on. Just adds another layer to the mystery. Why are they there for? What's their goal? I don't know, but apparently his long term project is finally finished so he has a bit more muscle out that way. Good thing too, I'm not sure I'd want to fly the Eventide that way at all.
Lastly, we got a response from the Order concerning the Defiance. It looks like a hell of a workload to get done. First things first I need to respond asking if we're going to be bringing the Defiance out that way first or if we are going to be delivering the materials required before we get underway. Additionally, I'll need to get confirmation on whether or not we'll be allowed to have others deliver the materials in our stead. From the looks of things we're delivering to [Location Classified] so I'm pretty sure they don't want anyone not under the Elysium's Shield banner flying anywhere near their space. A question I need to ask for sure the next time we speak.
Anyway, that's all from us. We've been running pretty hard the past couple of days. Going to give the crew a rest and hopefully find something to calm my nerves. This silence is unbearable.

[29.06.2022 08:26:16] Eventide: Zylar: Seems to have a bit of a facination with us. Nothing we haven't been able to handle though.

[29.06.2022 08:34:25] Chronic: Owens: Howdy!
[29.06.2022 08:34:28] OCV-Ramsey.VII: ?????????
[29.06.2022 08:34:32] OCV-Ramsey.VII: Greetings
[29.06.2022 08:34:48] Eventide: Zylar: They fly through here every so often. Very rare, but it's not uncommon.
[29.06.2022 08:34:51] ScienceAssistant_1: C: Greetings Order and OCV
[29.06.2022 08:35:37] Eventide: Zylar: With the AI attacks slowing in number once again, more transports and freighters have been passing through.
[29.06.2022 08:36:09] Order|Starfire: I can just hope to meet Kasumi you mentioned by person. By the way, what's Elysium's Shield. Haven't heard of this group before
[29.06.2022 08:36:13] Eventide: Zylar: We beat a number of them back to their home system of Kappa many times. Haven't seen many lately.
[29.06.2022 08:36:35] Eventide: Zylar: Ah, just a loose group of Zoners fighting the true threat of Humanity.
[29.06.2022 08:36:48] Eventide: Zylar: We don't rally under any flag, just a group more so than anything.
[29.06.2022 08:37:19] Eventide: Zylar: If you see the Katakiuchi flying, that's Kasumi by the way. We alternate patrols out here. She loves that ship.
[29.06.2022 08:37:28] Order|Starfire: Why not joining the Order then? We share the same goal, but have more options how to make it more effective
[29.06.2022 08:37:57] Eventide: Zylar: No offense to The Order, you all get bogged down with the threats of Core and Order. As Zoners, we have more...freedom.
[29.06.2022 08:38:09] Eventide: //Core and Outcasts
[29.06.2022 08:38:29] Eventide: Zylar: People tend to leave us be...besides, we perfer our freedom.
[29.06.2022 08:38:43] Order|Starfire: I would rather say, we have to deal with Core and Outcasts, because they do offences at us
[29.06.2022 08:39:04] Eventide: Zylar: This is true...and we're no friends of the Core, believe me. We harbor suspicion at them more than most.
[29.06.2022 08:39:23] Eventide: Zylar: However, being a Zoner is as much apart of me as my beating heart. I could never leave.
[29.06.2022 08:39:49] Eventide: Zylar: I'll fight these things out here with everything right down to my teeth if I have to.
[29.06.2022 08:39:55] Order|Starfire: Then I will not force you. Joining Order is volunteering only and tied to certain kind of responsibility
[29.06.2022 08:40:30] Eventide: Zylar: However, we do regularly speak to Order folks passing through, aid them where we can against the alien menace.
[29.06.2022 08:40:51] Eventide: Zylar: Pass on information as well concerning things we hear out here and in other places.
[29.06.2022 08:41:18] Eventide: Zylar: We lack the resources the Order has to combat some of these threats. Most of what we make is put towards maintenance.
[29.06.2022 08:41:48] Order|Starfire: Speaking of AI you said they are attacking you. I remember they've been aggressive once couple years ago. What happened?
[29.06.2022 08:42:27] Eventide: Zylar: Indeed. They've calmed down lately.
[29.06.2022 08:42:30] Order|Starfire: Hey look, fried chickens on the way, keep your artillery armed. Just in case
[29.06.2022 08:42:51] Eventide: Zylar: We saw them pop up on scanners but they dropped off pretty quickly. They seem far out of range.
[29.06.2022 08:43:16] Eventide: Zylar: In terms of the AI, we're unsure what happened. It was a few weeks ago they suddenly became VERY aggressive.
[29.06.2022 08:43:41] Eventide: Zylar: Attacking transports and the like. Then as sudden as it began, it ended. We haven't seen many erratic AI since.
[29.06.2022 08:44:15] Order|Starfire: Never could understand Gammu flying toasters. However, I had one who joined my people on battleship and have been there for-
[29.06.2022 08:44:17] Order|Starfire: -some time
[29.06.2022 08:44:35] Order|Starfire: It should be somewhere around though, but can't find traces
[29.06.2022 08:44:47] Eventide: Zylar: That's the odd part. We ran into one about a week ago that stated it was looking for "defective AI" and was "patrolling"
[29.06.2022 08:44:58] Eventide: Zylar: Makes me wonder if there is some kind of schizm forming in their programming.
[29.06.2022 08:45:17] Order|Starfire: Really? Can you describe what was going there?
[29.06.2022 08:45:38] Eventide: Zylar: It scanned us, inidicated that we weren't a threat and went about looking for "defective AI" and left the system.
[29.06.2022 08:45:44] Eventide: Zylar: Haven't seen it since.
[29.06.2022 08:46:03] Order|Starfire: Do you remember its signature?
[29.06.2022 08:46:23] Eventide: Zylar: Then there's that minefield that appeared over night and that bizzare planet near Omicron Mu. Just weird things going...
[29.06.2022 08:46:30] Eventide: Zylar: ...with the AI and Nomads lately.
[29.06.2022 08:46:48] Eventide: Zylar: I'd be remiss if I didn't say it has some of us quite rattled.
[29.06.2022 08:48:03] Order|Starfire: More Order buddies are coming
[29.06.2022 08:48:13] Ramses-III: Greetings
[29.06.2022 08:48:25] Eventide: Zylar: Salutations Ramses.
[29.06.2022 08:48:47] Eventide: Zylar: Delta seems like an active hotspot tonight.
[29.06.2022 08:49:34] Order|Starfire: I wish I could arrive with our battleship, but it's on long-term hauling after numerous combats, and I am waiting for crew and-
[29.06.2022 08:49:41] Order|Starfire: -fighter pilots replacement
[29.06.2022 08:50:01] Eventide: Zylar: Mmm. I can understand that. The Defiance is critically damaged and unflyable at the moment.
[29.06.2022 08:50:11] Order|Starfire: I lost 29 my best fellows there, in battles
[29.06.2022 08:50:40] Eventide: Zylar: Tsk. How many men do we have to lose to this menace before all of Humanity realizes the true threat we face?
[29.06.2022 08:50:53] Eventide: Zylar: ...or before it's too late.
[29.06.2022 08:51:40] Order|Starfire: House Governments are quite ignorable to the menace. However, Gallia becomes more serious after losing their shipyard at Orkney
[29.06.2022 08:52:00] Eventide: Zylar: Don't get me started on the Houses. Arrogant sons of bitches the lot of them.
[29.06.2022 08:52:41] Order|Starfire: But you cannot deny billions people live there and they are dependent on their governements
[29.06.2022 08:53:14] Eventide: Zylar: We can't. That's why we do what we do. Even if their governments are arrogant fools.
[29.06.2022 08:53:33] Eventide: Zylar: But as a Zoner, I guess I'm biased. *Laughs*
[29.06.2022 08:54:11] Order|Starfire: Houses either dislikes Zoners, so I understand you
[29.06.2022 08:54:28] Eventide: Zylar: ...and Gallia is indeed a concern. We've had someone watching those systems for some time. Not much has come of it...
[29.06.2022 08:54:32] Eventide: Zylar: ...but we're watching.
[29.06.2022 08:54:48] Order|Starfire: My girlfriend used to be a Zoner from Bretonia, and I am aware with such issues
[29.06.2022 08:54:57] Eventide: Zylar: Ugh. Bretonia.
[29.06.2022 08:55:12] Eventide: Zylar: We made it a habit to avoid their systems.
[29.06.2022 08:55:37] Order|Starfire: I should note this ship frying towards Nauru
[29.06.2022 08:55:53] Eventide: Zylar: Mmm. May be a good idea.
[29.06.2022 08:56:04] Eventide: Zylar: Getting reports of an Ion storm headed this way.
[29.06.2022 08:56:21] Eventide: Zylar: We just got the Eventide fixed, we may need to moor and give us some time to secure the ship.
[29.06.2022 08:56:42] Order|Starfire: Let's dock and join our talk later, my ship needs refueling anyway
[29.06.2022 08:56:52] Eventide: Zylar: Sounds good.
Entry From:Zylar Vespertine Vessel:Eventide Location at time of Log Entry:Unknown Freeport wreck, Uncharted system Subject:Things that go bump in the night
We had to perform an emergency blind jump to get away from a particularly nasty group of squids tonight. Things were going well right up until a group of their larger cousins showed up and started hammering the Eventide to pieces. I ordered an emergency blind jump in the hopes that we could get away from them.
The good news is, we got away. The bad news is, we jumped into an uncharted system with no known route back to normal space. Luckily we have enough of a charge left in the coils for another jump and this time we're going to be jumping to a system and not away from it...that was the plan anyway.
Our long range sensors picked up debris in the orbit of a nearby star and we went to investigate. There in the orbit of the star, was a decaying station that looked astoundingly like a dilapidated Freeport. What worries me even more, is the fact that the station appears to have taken severe damage from quite a number of impacts before falling into disrepair...even more concerning is there were no Human remains or vessels anywhere to be found. Just a relic of a past age destroyed by an unknown foe. We had a few of our more scientific minded crew do a date analysis on the wreck finding it to be around 150 years old.
The Nomads weren't woken up yet by that point, that we know of. So whatever destroyed this station was human.
...or something else.
I'm having the crew check what remains of the stations systems before we depart back to Omicron Delta--I just hope that they hurry up...this place gives me the fucking creeps.
