It's good to hear from you, and to know that you are in good health. In this Holy Church your name has always been respected, taking into account the large number of good actions that you and your organization have carried out for the maintenance of peace and freedom, for so many years.
The NCC doesn't forget the war in Gran Canaria between the Corsair and the SCRA, the orbital bombings, the dead and the wounded. But we also remember how everyone came together, and how we all got to work to help the victims, set up the refugee camps, and protect the locals. At that time I was just a simple clergyman of the Faith, but I will never forget that when I witnessed such deployment of altruism and sincere unity between brothers, I really felt in the presence of Deux's work.
It was a real shame that after this situation, my predecessor Paolus LXIV lost his temper, and weakened our Church in the next years to such a point that we couldn't continue doing his Sacred Work, as we had done until then in so many places. The genocidal invasion of Gran Canaria by Kingdom of Bretonia definitely destroyed his mind and his health, and forced us to leave the planet and hide like rats. Fortunately for us, those times have passed.
Reading your words, I think it's possible that you haven't understood the meaning of the Faith we preach. It's not my intention to try to convert you, but allow me to explain that. According to our beliefs, Deux revealed to our ancestors, eons ago, that only the real unity of mankind will allow us to survive the unknowable xeno threats lurking beyond the stars. Therefore, it's not peace that we seek, but the Holy Unity of the humans of Sirius. And by union, I don't mean grouping ourselves under the same flag, but rather the peaceful and free coexistence of all humans.
Of course, we would prefer this unity be achieved through non-violent means, but it's clear that there are powers that threaten the achievement of this union that we seek, with their unjustifiable acts of agressión. Powers like the Kingdom of Bretonia, or Liberty Republic.
I'm simply saying, and I'm not ashamed to say it, that when violence must be resorted to, I always want to be sure that there is no other way. But don't be confused. For us there is nothing more important than obeying the commands of Deux, and nothing, or no one, can be allowed to prevent this. So, as I said in my inaugural speech, I know that, unfortunately, sometimes there is no other way than violence, because the aggressors don't understand any other language.
We are not a Church of peace, Mr. Holliday, not under my guidance. We are a Church that seeks to fulfill the mandate of Deux, and that means fighting for the end of the conflicts of aggression that divide mandkind. And I will fulfill that mandate, by whatever means necessary.
I sincerely hope that, in the future, this Holy Church can maintain with you and your organization the same excellent relationship that it already had in past days. We will be honored to contribute in what we can, to solve the plague of state terrorism we currently have on Sirius.

I agree that peace must often be achieved through weapons. Especially when those who break the peace wield them. It's not desired, but it's equally not desired to live under aggression.
Obviously you don't know me, and you don't know my Faith, which I can understand. We've never been a very majority cult, but that isn't what matters to us either. It's fulfilling the designs of Our Lord, the only thing that is really important for us. Therefore, as I say, I understand that you have no idea who we are.
What I can't understand, is that without having any idea who we are, you blame me and my followers for the Kingdom of Bretonia or the Liberty Republic acts. It's curious, to say the least, when this Holy Church has already acted bravely and decisively in the face of aggression from other powers in the past. I lost dear people in Gran Canaria, and the majority of the current followers of this Church belong there. We're the first to know what it's like to be oppressed, murdered, and expelled from our homes. So don't address us as if we are your enemy. We are not.
It's true that the Word of Deux stopped being heard a long time ago, as well as the contributions of its Faith to just causes, and, about that, I cannot blame anyone except ourselves, who allowed it. But now we are here, and we will not abandon our duties again.
We're on the same damn side, so place the blame for acts of genocide on those who commit them, and not on those who are offering to do everything they can, to prevent them.
