I still haven't been there. Why go to Gallia when you have the Rhein.

Actually, Dresden is very close to a Hessian takeover. The mining fields there are drying up, and it is getting to the point where they aren't worth defending. Kruger and Daumann are abandoning Dresden for the Omegas.

' Wrote:To be honest, those news articles are absurd. Every single base in Sirius has 'NEW HOUSE UNVIELED' screaming from it's news screens, even from factions that have no right to know. All they are is a oorp vehicle to spread the knowledge that Gallia around.

Ow...now the NPC bases are oorp.

Wake up--a little common sense is required. As for the RP, I'm finding its mostly only the really dedicated staying there--others just passing though trading...which is a mixed bag). No where near as bad as NY except for a few of the "police" chars who seem not to grasp the politics (as in the one who told my GALLIC Junker, "Junkers aren't allowed in Gallia".) As for the self-appointed Gallic "lords"....you aren't necessarily the definite answer to all role play there. Its not your place to randomly attack everyone you see. I'm also using my own character's already existent rp to provide some IN CHARACTER ways for people to find out about Gallia. Out of the beta that will become reality anyway and this is a good time to "try on rp" for those who want to give it a try.

I do appreciate the police ordering foreigners to turn about now due to the fear there but eventually that will change too I imagine. I hope the NPCs stay as difficult--it makes it require soem effort to be there and that's good.

I think those that been playing freelancer as long as I have would agree that it gets boring...
Dont get me wrong, this game has been so addictive that I`m still here after 5 years online still. Sirius gets boring, no matter how many new ships, guns and clan owning systems been made. Now Galia is all brand new and a wicked opportunity to tune into this game once again. Personally I love everything about Galia so far
and cant wait for more Galia systems to be opened up.

*grins* I bet I can guess who a few of those people are.

And of course everyone knows about the new house. It's good news. Good news sells. Good news sells fast.

Just repeat that mantra if you ever becomes confused about everyone knowing about 'em. The depth of knowledge, after that, is yours to determine.

Its a happy irony that mine and Oniros role play before the Congress began happened to actually have a "lost French house" in it (no kidding and we had no idea that Gallia was to come). But I am using that to provide an RP transition for those thinking of interacting there. A way to stay in outer Sirius RP but still move towards Gallic interaction naturally without "making something up from thin air".

Anyone who has interacted with Tinkerbell in game regarding Gallia "knows" about it "in character". Certainly of its existence and general rule of law and order.

On the subject of trading, I have a Council indie blockaderunner in a Council Transport (370 cargo), and I'm there for the RP only, and use the blockaderunning as the basis for interaction with the GRN, GRP, etc. Ive had some very good RP with the GRN, but there has been a great deal of OoRP-ness and general stupidity there.

EX: Heavy Tanker carrying Military Vehicles from Champagne to Languedoc, getting stopped. The GRN, from what I have taken from RP threads, is that the trader should have been vaporized without a second thought. Quite to the contrary, the trader was just let free with a couple excuses, none of which sounded believeable at all.

EX: Capitalization/Punctuation. If GRN, Council, Maquis, UC, etc. can not even use proper punctuation in their RP, I dont think they are fit for commanding much more than a Lynx, Gecko, Mistral, or a Noir. When I am getting chased by a cruiser saying (AND I QUOTE, NO NAMES) "counsil skum, stp and prpar 2 die." I'm thinking, "There should be a rule about using correct spelling, etc." I can understand the occasional typo, but when someone spells "prepare" as "prpar," "scum" as "skum," it gets on my nerves. When I come across these people, I dont even try to RP, because I know that there will be no RP there, just mindless spamming of CD's, and the stench of FAIL.

Salut!

To the three GRN who engaged my l'Ane in a spirted stern chase across Languedoc recently.

While you failed to catch the "St.Germain", i thoroughly enjoyed the system chatter.

Quite the welcome. Merci!

Good news? We've suddenly discovered a huge and powerful group of people on our borders who have been spying on us and stealing our tech for hundreds of years, realise that their technology and their military power is vastly superior to ours, and then find out that they want revenge and are planning to invade and kill us all?

You call that Good News?!?!
