I think NovaPG is the oldest faction currently, I could be wrong.

Really active factions are BAF| and [LN], so you could join their opposing lawful side, [KNF] and [RM] to spike up some activity, if that is what you mean.

Perhaps you want an opinion on whether or not to join a specific faction?
