If you want to RP a political party, by all means go ahead.

The council of zoners really isnt a political party. Its a type of government supposedly used to unite sirus-wide zoners. (or at least thats how i look at it) I havent seen any liberty political parties, perhaps a ship with loudspeakers or lots of antennae (because sound doesnt travel through space, just ask the alien movies.) for broadcasting politcal propaganda.

In Bretonia we have the Crown Royalist Party in power, led by the Prime Minister George Mountbatten (Capt. G. Thacker), with the Populist Party (Trevelyan) and the Imperialist Royalists (Elgatodiablo) in opposition.

Elections are merely RPed in accordance with a mutually agreed storyline progression by senior Bretonian players, however, rather than actually being carried out by all players voting as that would lead to some strange and not wholly realistic results.

Interesting idea.... though after reading the other posts here, I'm unsure as to how it could pan out.

I suppose it might work alright if elections (or whatever) were tallied in-game and on the forums. Because a lot of people, for better or worse, don't really participate in the forums.

Of course, since senior players end up driving some of the election of the current presidents, etc., I don't know how open they would be to sharing any of this sort of political power.

Making it kind of true to life. :P

[Though in defense of the senior players, since all the character biographies are essentially personal fan fiction, it would be difficult to decide who actually has the standing to influence political decisions.]
