O.K> guys maybe now is the time to suggest some stuff for the next version.
Firstly the new systems are a great idea and i welcome it! I hope that the system modders would be kind enough to include full info about the system in-game. I mean that when you click the question mark on a planet or an asteroid field it displays you info about it - just so u know 'cause i've seen a lot player made systems ' and frankly they didnt have any info - it kills a little bit of the emotion and it definetely looks like an inported thing. For now the discovery isnt looking as an inported mod , because all the stuff in it is in the game itself. And will be good if there is any info when you click for it on the system "star" on the nav map.
Now for the more important matter - guns. I definetely thing that there are new guns need to be included to complete the "upgrade part" of the houses. And not only them. So what i mean is to extend the arsenal of the game. Like a new better classed versions of the guns - up to lv 10.
For instance all houses and fractions have about two types of gun which through increace of the level change their names and a little the effects, but are all nothing but a better version of the main gun. Like liberty's justice and lavablade - comming up to vengence and ... i forgot the other gun 6lv name. Or like the corsairs with their angelito and salamanka guns - all the same but more powerful and with a little adittion from the effects side. So it will be good if the houses and the big pirate corps. :) have up to 10lv versions of their main guns - with kept balance and ratio in power/damage increase. This re-novation includes any turrets for fighters too. Of cource this dosen't mean that the codes will be useless - still they will be the best guns.
And the smaller fractions - civilian and alike may have their gun power increaced to lv 8 or 9. This is in order to make the game more interesting and again usind whats given in it and not developing entirely new guns. And these "new" guns might be avalable at most of the fraction base - of cource the best versions might be in the main bases of the fraction.
And it will be good if more of the better equipment is avalable almoust everywhere - i mean lv7 missle luncher in bretonia or liberty , and the ralated level mine luncher too. Also sunslayer torpedo and lv9 sheilds too.
But still the best shield and missles, and mines, and torpedo-the nova, should stay at the unknown bases. In that case u will be able to get descent equipment everywhere - and still not the best there is ( you might consider putting some code guns [the weaker ones] for sell at the unknown too-more things to choose ).
If there is some1 with knowlege of modding guns may take up the quest and do these things-also i might take up on it too, but i need information on a good gun-modding program, and i have to consolidate with Igiss, too.
And for last but not least-new elite patrols. In the houses there should be npc's flying the new ships and using the new, and the best house equipment there is. These elite patrols should keep the challenge for the pirates and will make things more interesting-it won't be so easy alone fighter to kill everything infront the house planet, when he is hostile with them - all in the name of the fun. And these elite patrols should have some chance ( that is not 100% ) to be met on the patrol paths. The new patrols should be considered after the making of the new guns, in order for them to equip the best house gun of theirs.
The pirates - especially the corsairs and outcasts don't need such patrois, 'cause they have them already. But it will be a brief thing for the houses and bigger corps to have some.

Oh and:
The corsair and outcast randevous if the inner systems also can be "upgreded" - using some of the beter ships there too, so the new nps partols will have equal combatants from the npc pirates.
And some exclussively harder missions might be made too - like for 500k or so - again with the equal difficulty - and they should be avalable not only for the border worlds but to every main planet in a system. This will put some new life in the "doing missions" phrase.

What you are saying is a great deal of work, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to do all this. Patrols with new ships are possible, but not for the next version. As for the guns themselves, it's not too complicated, but the effects will remain the same.

Only where new elite ships are sold. Or maybe in some special places, like Battleship Essex in Bretonia, etc.

I will still review all code that the system modders will submit. Infocards (that are responsible for names and descriptions of things in Freelancer) are what I'm planning to add myself and only myself, for a number of reasons.

Hmm..... :blink: :blink: .....yea that is kinda a big peice of pie to deal with, Guns are no prob, editing base's and building new bases are fine, For Info on the systems,and Fields takes time, cause you have to edit script in the Actuall files blah blah blah....
Ill see what i can do to put some of this stuff in my Demo for Igiss..

How about some coalition systems? Like Moscow, Kiev, St.Peterburg, let's see it's russia in the coalition, maby china so other systems like Beijing, Hong-Kong. (these are just names; im not suggesting to put ALL these systems). Oh, and a friend of mine Fire_tzunami found some nice ships models in the ,,Crossfire" mod found on www.lancersreactor.com. Why not put more ships in the game as powerful as the Barracuda (wepons 4-6) or who knows, not only level 10 ships :).
What would you say of some new comodities, like: cola, fanta, sprite, pepsi and 7up. You kow like Liberty has Cola and pays good for fanta or 7up. U know. and prices to be very small and very big :rtfm:
