People who attach themselves to a faction but purposefully fly without the tag in their name and in a generic ship in order to facilitate infiltration missions. :cool:
This is not a new idea, infact there are already certain characters that do things similar to this.
"Nomad Bio-electric field generator;
Cost (ridiculously large)
Lifespan (short but not too short)
This is a highly experimental device created by Orillion's corps of engineers from the salvaged remains of Nomad craft.
It emits the same bio-electric field as a standard nomad fighter, allowing a small vessel to pass undetected into nomad territory for research and intelligence gathering purposes.
CAUTION; this device drains the crafts energy heavily, and the nomad cells vital to its operation have a LIMITED life-span.
NOTE; this device is top-secret, property of the Order and should only be sold to Order agents of high rank by order of a commanding officer."

So what, the report gets ignored, easy. Anyway, this wont be a problem with any ID that is not generic as those IFF's will be forced. Or include in the rules "be sure to screen shot the ship equipment, without this there will be no sanction". Isnt this needed anyway to confirm the ID for a sanction report? Also, as this will be FLhook controlled, logs can easily be kept of who was using a stolen transponder and when.
Can anyone find any way this would make gameplay worse and not better? Let the admins worry about how it will affect their end of things.
Alright, considering all the ninja rep changing to keep people from OORP docking I can tell this would never work in its current form. So I have added to the proposal that stolen transponders can only work on civilian or generic ships as otherwise it would be obvious that the transponder was stolen and everyone would go immediately hostile.
Of course if this was done I'm not sure this idea would be worth implementing for as much as it would be used, but I dunno.
