Quote:Pilot carrying this ID is in The Order, who:
* Can trade and escort traders
* Can engage pirates, terrorists and lawfuls within their Zone of Influence * Can demand contraband from, and fine, any ship within their Zone of Influence carrying or using:
o Slaves, human organs, artifacts, cardamine, allied pilots, nomad brains or nomad technology
* Cannot ally with any lawfuls except Zoners or when fighting against Nomads and Wild
* Cannot fulfill bounty contracts
* Cannot participate in any unlawful actions
Carrying unmounted IDs in your ship, as well as not equipping an ID, is a serious crime.
No problem with Order taking out smugglers. But I think you need to be more sensitive to Order RP. Unless there is actually a Nomad in Bretonia, I don't think you should be so far away from home. And if you're going to start shooting smugglers, what makes you think unlawfuls are going to let you dock on their bases? You're destroying their source of income. They're more likely to shoot you in the face as soon as you step out of the cockpit...

i think that depends on who I'm taking the contraband from. Outcasts + pals won't matter for me, but Corsairs + Buddies will.
I think there's a difference here between Zone of Interest and Zone of Influence. The Order would be interested in stopping Nomads in all of Sirius, but they would only be able to influence (stop smugglers) out in the border worlds.
And in fact, let's look at this post by the ... official Order faction. (I know how much you don't want to listen to them, but...)
As you start scrolling down, you'll see a lovely little map. Now - far be it from me to suggest that an indie actually listen to the Official Faction (except of course, that's Faction Right 2 as far as it goes) but - I would suggest (strongly) that an Order pilot stopping a smuggler with Cardi in Bretonia in operating outside of his Zone of Influence, and should get smacked just as strongly as a Lane Hacker pirating someone down in Omega-49. You may have a reason to visit there, but you damned well better behave while you're there. (Nomads would be the one thing I would agree that you should be able to gather anywhere in Sirius - all the rest of the stuff, nope, nada, zilch...)

back onto the Topic, the only bretonian base you can buy artifacts from apart from that gaian station is a BAF research station in Newcastle($1700-ish i think).
if you're able to dock at a gaian base chances are it'll be hard to dock at the BAF base.
and it really isnt much of a profit, just looked it up, somewhere around 70c/s so yeah, thats why smugglers arent doing it
Please correct me if i am wrong, but isn't the Order about fighting for the well-being of humanity as a whole and not just about pewing big bad aliens and their buddies?
Cardamine is genetically altering the people who consume is and that is what the Outcasts want to do with all humans in Sirius. In addition to that, they are on quiet friendly terms with the Nomads, aren't they?
I don't have to explain why someone fighting for human well being wouldn't be sitting still while a 5k transport full of poor people comes by?
Don't get me wrong, i'm not talking about actively hunting smugglers and the like, but what happens if an Order guy runs into one of the above mentioned by accident?

Quote:The Order is a powerful covert organization that controls several remote Omicron systems. They played an important role in the war against the Nomads (799-802 A.S.). Shortly after, they allied with the Corsairs who assisted with building ships and training new pilots in exchange for cutting-edge Order technology. Current goals include keeping the Nomad worlds under control and preventing the Liberty Navy and Bounty Hunters guild from taking over Omicron Minor and The Order home planet, Toledo.
If the Order came across a smuggler, they'd probably stop them. But they wouldn't waste resources sending a fighter to the other side of Sirius to stop Cardamine traders...
