You have to bear in mind that corsairs and zoners are probably the most spammed factions on the server, whereas the official Hogosha faction has about 5 of us as active members, and I've only seen two indies. You can't expect a food shipment every day.
Ah, so now the Corsairs are proud isolationists, only relying on outside trade to receive food, for which those same outside traders are not even compensated properly for the time and effort that the run makes (what? 600 credits per unit for hauling across six systems? The food trade is a joke- nobody would consider doing it except for humanitarian reasons).
Acting like North Korea isn't going to win any friends, amigo. Of course, making friends isn't the Corsair way, is it?
Also, Benjamin makes a good point. Anyways, I'd best get some sleep before my posts turn more sour.
Many might not know, but in the very early days of Sirius the artifact trade into Kusari was done by the GMG.
The Hogosha undercut the GMG, starting the downward spiral of hostilities between the GMG and Hogosha/Corsairs.
In terms of trade RP, I could imagine the Corsairs would get a bit narky if the Hogosha are not bringing enough desired goods from Kusari.
It would be pretty simple to apply pressure - they could stage some more raids on Planet Kurile, owned by Samura (such raids are on the Kurile rumours if you want to go read them).
Samura would then go and scream at their Hogosha lackeys to give the Corsairs the commodities they want...it would be a better option than directly attacking the people who are supposed to be helping them.
Look it's actually not a shame or anything.
What happened here really (with means of not dragging it into trial by forum and naming names)
guy was a zoner. He got pirated. He contacted me on how to avoid being pirated. I told him to bring food and take whatever he wants. Few good options are either crete or Fes. Because they offer good profit in return goods. Few days later, same ship, hogosha id. I get a report from other OPG, i say "hogosha are allies, he must be bringing food or something, anything actually and taking artifacts" "no he's doing the deut organs run"
"..."
no.
Basically I don't expect hoghosha to bring food but I expect them to bring something to crete / fes /leon and take out something from corsair bases. Not to use ID just because we're allied and you know you won't be intercepted.

In vanilla they only meet on the Hawaii. No idea what the Corsairs get there, but I thought it was just a straight trade of artifacts for credits. Hogosha going in to Gamma (and beyond) is all disco.
Think of it this way: The Hogosha are the primary legitimate source of our income. The Kusari trade of Artifacts is the biggest Artifact trade. The loss of the Hogosha is akin to the Outcasts losing the Rogues as distributors. Like the Artifact trade is for the Corsairs, sure the Junkers do a little bit, but the Rogues/Hogosha widely distribute the goods. They pay well for the goods because they can widely distribute the goods.
However, the person in question is not contributing to Hogosha RP. He is not acting as a Hogosha. You should tell him this.
[8:32:45 PM] Dusty Lens: Oh no, let me get that. Hello? Oh it's my grandma. She says to be roleplay.
[12:49:19 AM] Elgatodiablo: You know its nice that you have all that proof and all, Bacon... but I just don't believe you.
This is my reaction, he was warned in game and this is warning to all those that get an idea of actually following the said player's footsteps.
Guy isn't bad at all to be honest, but if I keep in roleplay and all my income comes from my only characters (OPG), then I expect others to have to work a little for their Osirises.
