My argument was always the ineffectiveness of fighters as escorts, not the fact that bombers do their jobs well.

Yeah, they are still too uber, It only takes 2 to kill my juggy when it damn well should take 3.

But then again, thats the cost of having all your BS turret damages doubled.

I say we just buff Solaris range to make them actually useful. This applies to all classes with the (possible) exception of gunboats.

Edit: To clarify, this would allow cruisers to have mixed anti fighter/cap armaments. I'm not a cruiser pilot, so I don't know how they are against capital ships.

But yeah, Solaris need to be albe to ...y'know, Do something.


Either they have l337 speed and range, but dont do jack, or they Just dont hit, but have decent damage.

Once again - right now cruiser missiles are pretty decent, they easily outrange battleship weapons and do a good bit of damage. The problem is that missiles are ineffective against any target with it's shields still up - even on the smallest battleships, 50% of the time the missile will do no shield damage at all because the target's shield generator hardpoint is not caught within the missile's explosion radius.

If we had a weapon which could lower shields at a similar distance, this would all be mute point, as cruisers would fill the role I think they should just fine. I guess having pulses at 3750 range now (or 3500 whatever it is) satisfies me somewhat...

But I still think that all BC's should have thrusters, and I honestly wouldnt mind having the order carrier scrapped and replaced with a true battlecruiser at this point, considering that two battleship turrets will give me more anti-bomber defense than a dozen cruiser turrets will.

So how about a different approach:

-Give all BC's thrusters (srsly, I dont see why this is a problem for so many, two have them already and there have been no complaints)

-Increase range on the light mortar, cruiser pulse cannon, and cruiser battle razor to 3750m.

-Replace the Order Light Carrier with a model similar in size to the BHG BC, IMG BC, or Liberty BC, and change it's hardpoints to 10 Cruiser Turrets / 2 Battleship Turrets, 450k armor, class 9 shield.

-Increase cruiser solaris turret range so they're somewhat useful.


And TBH, I think all BC's should get the battleship shield like the carrier, but i'm sure nobody will agree with me there.

No on almost everything except the part about the solaris.

Solaris does need to be more effective on cruisers, sincerely because i see nobody using it.

The LC really is borked.
Should be a BC, since "carriers" are technically not even carriers.

Voted NO on the first 2 & here is why.
A Single cruiser shouldn't be made to take on a battleship 1 on 1, in fact should take 2 or 3 to take a battleship down. If it is set up correctly, it already can tear a bomber up with a good pilot flying it. With it's smaller size, the power out put sensibly should be a little smaller, yet allowing for a Razor, Motar , & some turrets to fire. I do agree the thruster should be upped for maneuvering against bombers.

The Carrier in my opinion should be further nerfed. Add more armor maybe, but less power & turrets, after all it is a Carrier, not a battleship. It is suppose to transport fighters/bombers which in turn would be it's primary offense & defense.

I also believe that Destroyer class ships should be a little higher in stats than cruisers. A destroyer is a larger grade of ship & should reflect as such.

As for turret range on Cruiser, 2k would be more than enough for the roll it serves. As stated above, it wasn't meant to fend off battleships solely.
