No worries? Unfortunately you are wrong. There are plenty of grounds for being worried. Changing skins was performed by SWAT_OP-R8R, author of Crossfire. For some time, he was an admin on TLR, but resigned several weeks ago. There were no skin changes ever since. Besides, skin change does not require the site to go offline.

I'll just quote what OP-R8R posted on the Crossfire forums yesterday, listen:
Quote:im not LR admin anymore

but i can say that not only the site is not there
... the server is totally disconnected from the net
no http, no ftp, no remote access

my try to contact bp and eraser failed since the mail is still unanswered and i dont see them online

possible that this is a technical problem again (like we had with the lr router not long ago or the hdd crash in 2006)... maybe its only a problem due to the ms update

but its also possible that LR is down forever (i dont want to exclude that since in any other case i would at least have got a reply from bp or any information from another source)

That's what we got right now, and this info is not very inspiring.

It has been several days now that we have been deprived of LancersReactor, possibly the most valuable resource ever made for Freelancer. It is with a heavy heart that I must suggest we assume the worst. Most deffinately a new network hub resource must be made. The only quetion being... who has the ability to make it?

These are troubling times indeed.

Kind Regards

I don't think that the site is gone forever that way. There should have been a warning on TLR main page first...

Replacing TLR is no simple task. A powerful server, plus a lot of bandwidth is required... And that costs money. A lot of money.

Bad news indeed. I just started playing Freelancer again a few days ago, and started looking for some mods to use, only to discover that seemed to be the only site to have any amount of mods, and its down.

Its still down. And I was going to download some tools for modding. I was looking for the hard point editor and some other programs (was searching for one with a GUI to edit patrols and insert commodities, ships and equipment). Can someone send to me the hard point editor in a pm? Thanks in advance.

Alright everyone, here's a good backup site until TLR is back up:

=EOA= Player's Consortium

Not as good as TLR, but better than nothing... and F Wolf, it has the Hardpoint Editor (HardCMP)
