It would probably make things harder for people to catch a cd-mine mounted ship. I favor the idea since it would help most relentless pursuits gain a dynamic flow. However, we should not forget that mounting such a device means making a fighter ship more compact than ever if the cd-mine can be dropped in both cruise and non cruise speeds, including the fighter has besides a torpedoe or an antimatter gun mounted on.
