This does not work, however, between Pirate and Trader since this is not necessarily a combat situation. A Trader's goal is to dock and sell his/her goods and move other goods to another destination. So a Trader will dock and undock on a regular basis. And a Pirate isn't gonna just say, "oh he docked... guess he's dead now and i cannot re-engage." No, different circumstances. Piracy is unique from normal fighter vs fighter combat and should follow a different rule set.
trader passes through o5...gets hit...flees to CRS, repairs...
pirate is well within its rights to repair and rearm as well.
the trader hires a merc....should always group with the merc...and then the merc/trader are considered one player for kill purposes...
if merc kills pirate...pirate should move off and pirate somewhere else....
if trader ever gets killed on a route...should find another one or log...it should be dead.
now.
how long after a kill must a pirate wait to reengage? id say untill the trader loggs off and then loggs back in.
one of the two are dead...they cant encounter one another again.
Can I just ask one favor from everyone. If a newbie does this or something similar to this, warn him that it is a fo pah on this server and to not do it again before reporting him. If I or anyone else who has been here long enough to know this does it, then yeah report us.
And PVP WHORE, must we resort to this? Again I bring up the point in relation to your statements of "rules"... I ask according to who. Archelon, you say this rule applies to this and that rule applies to that, what are you using to base this on? And apparently trading/pirating and "normal" comabat situations are no different. If there is no grey area for one circumstance than its only fair that there be no grey area for any circumstance.
I do not plan on ever repeating the situation perormed by my comrade that everyone is talking about, so I am not trying to bring out loopholes, but Im just saying that its not fair to have one persons interpretation work to their benefit while someone else's does not. It either needs to be black and white or all of these sub-rules that everyone is mentioning need to be included in the official rule.

All rules need to be clear and posted in one place, its no good having rules that the server goes by but arnt in the rules post, it leads to confusion and ALOT of flaming that we could all do without me thinks.
The problem is that there are a lot of chances due current roleplay.
The admins got really a lot of work to maintain the server and its community.
And the roleplay of cause.
Me suggested an additional link to the Board Navigation Bar refferinf to the ruiles topic.
There really does need to be ONE place where you can find every rule that has ever been created for discovery, That would really clear up confusen on ban and fine issues.
One other thing I didn't see mentioned here, is corfu considered a lawful base?

This topic is getting really old. Bottom line if your a long time active member, and if your highly active on these forums (as in reading almost every post every day) then you have a pretty good idea as to what the rules are. But those are BIG IF's.
No newbie has a chance of knowing the intricacies of the rules. No player who doesnt read posts that dont relate to him or the factions he is involved with could possibly know exactly what the word for word rules are.
I have had three different people who "know" the details of the F1 rule give me three different defiitions of it. But guess what, not one of them could link me to where any of those "rules" were defined. Which lead me to one of two conclusions, either A) it doesnt exist or B) its become lost in the 100's if not 1000's of threads on these forums. If they cant find it how can someone new.
Here's the rule as it is written in the Discovery Server Rules:
Quote:- Using F1 in any PvP combat;
Now what exactly does that mean to you?
I for sure don't see docking counts as a death in that statement. Every other part of this rule is open to anyone and everyone's personal opinion.
