Minor note re-reading the ID, they can ask for things from unaalied factions. Which does mean they can ask for things from your navy fighter. I suspect to see that used more often though and will possibly be so abused it gets the line you've been talking about there Akura.
Saint Del is considered a holy healer of diseases of children, but also as a protector of cattle.
Yep, noticed that when re-reading the ID as mentioned in the post above. We'll see how it goes for a while, but the sense of attempting to pirate navy combat ships is beyond me. Seems to me that;s only going down one road.

Yes, but doing it as a prelude to pewpewing some hapless policeman/navy pilot/pizza delivery boy seems to be de rigeur.
Pirate: Hey Navy man.
Navy: Move along young whippersnapper.
Pirate: No U. Gimme 2 million or yer dead.
Navy: 2 million? I'm a government employee...
Pirate: Engagabug Navy.

Yes but for a Pirate character you have three choices (types of engagements) usually:
Pirate the Navy char because you want to be annoying (character roleplay doable.)
Attack the Navy char because you want to. (character roleplay doable.)
Self-defence (character roleplay doable.)
It depends on the nature of your pirate. He can be a semi-psycho, a greedy bastard or simply tries to avoid trouble when possible.

I don't see where that is against the rules, besides maybe it makes sense for the Role-Play you have for your character?
If only there was such variety in reality. I'd be inclined to think that demanding credits and cargo is the sole demand of a pirate. Demanding that someone sing Hey Diddle Diddle in a pair of yellow wellington boots or get gutted is not piracy - it is junior terrorism.

Ah ze loopholes. Ze pirates zey love zem non?
Loopholes? That is your opinion, if my character enjoys demanding credits from a Navy boy because he wants to annoy him, then that's my role-play. If its not against the rules, I should be allowed to do it as I wish.
Yeah sure, I can roleplay whatever I want so long as it fits the desires of the admin team, awesome.
If we're going to take away the right to engage lawfuls from the pirate ID, let's take away the rights to engage unlawfuls from all the lawful IDs too.
Shooting. Game.
Sirius is a pretty brutal place, you can't actually have any roleplay without PvP. The two go hand in hand. To quote Denelo...
Quote:[12:25:23 PM] Denelo: I remember when PvP was shut off for a week.
[12:25:25 PM] Denelo: No one played.
[12:25:33 PM] Denelo: Except lolpowertraders.
[12:26:39 PM] Denelo: You can't roleplay a brutal murderer OR a stalwart police officer if you can't kill things.
[12:26:46 PM] Denelo: No enforcement for lawfuls.
Thanks for, once again, restricting my right to roleplay whatever I want. I also love what this does to the NTF. Makes me feel all.. warm and fuzzy inside.
Sorry fellas, I'm not gonna accept that I can only attack Navy Pilots or whatever lawfuls in self-defense only. If Liberty Rogues or the Lane Hackers can attack them as per diplomacy (enemy), then a Pirate ID affiliated to criminal gangs of a house, should be allowed to do the same. Even more so, when their frickin' Role-Play is based on annoying their enemies, I should be allowed to pirate them for money or simply attack them.
