The Taishogun wishes to offer the following clarifications:
The ambush and seizure of the Liner reportedly took place in Sigma-19, along the trade lane from Gas Miner Ogashawa to the Honshu jump gate. The ship was immediately directed to a nearby jump hole.
Local GMG patrols were engaged with a sizeable Outcast raiding party at the time. It is possible the Outcasts were deliberately told to attack by the GC, in order to cause a distraction to local patrol ships.

//The interdiction of the seized Liner, and its Dragon escorts, starts at the Sigma-19 jump hole in Honshu. The Liner attempts to move under impulse, on a wide path 'north' past Honshu, then 'west' towards the Chugoku jump hole. I timed this and it takes about half an hour to travel that distance.
So the Kusari lawfuls have a window of up to 30 minutes to blow the thruster off the ship. If they succeed without destroying the Liner, the ship must halt - effectively locking in the battlezone wherever it is. The Liner can use its thrusters and strafe, but it should be in F2 'goto' mode to a distant waypoint, so it cant use EK.
The Liner can also return fire as it has been hijacked.
We should also consider the possibility of at least one Samura escort ship being allowed on the lawful side.
Being one of Samura managers I'm surprised how this vacation event doesn't show up in my schedule. Not for one of the other directors either it seems, yet there are 800 of our employees to be captured.

If you wish to veto this event event please say so.
No-one said that YOU have to be on board. i am sure that as part of Samuras incentive program - among their millions of employees they may on occasion send some of them on cruises.
I mean its only a weekend trip to the Hawaii - not an all-expenses paid trip to Baden Baden.
I shall be interested to see if Samura is able to get into the spirit of the event, and be a positive contributor.
It could as well have been a series of events, including the actual fight to conquer the liner which would most likely have a combined escort from both involved companies. But that would include talking to the actual faction first.

Mate - I suggest you get involved in the spirit of this event.
PanGal is the owner of the Liner - not Samura. That Samura employees are on board this ship is merely a story hook to justify the actions of the unlawfuls.
Should you not wish to get involved in the spirit of this event - I am sure that the people who choose to participate will have fun without you, as they seemed to have fun at the last event organised by us...
A story hook which holds the possibility of Metagaming against Samura, in case of a victory of the unlawfuls. 800 hostages are a lot. And as soon as it happened we couldn't even complain anymore because "it happened ingame". Hence I am complaining now.
The event itself is nothing I have an issue with, however, the result being open to abuse is. You might say I'm nitpicking, but we have people around who would do stuff like that. How about considering the option of having a high ranked PanGal member aboard who has very close relations to the Kusari government? Then it's completely your event without giving us any reason to complain.

People who 'do stuff like that' does not include myself. As leader of the Blood Dragons, you have my word of honour that metagaming any assumed knowledge extracted from any Samura employee aboard the ship shall not be allowed.
This is the same roleplay courtesy I have extended to the Isejin, and it would be in your interest to accept this offer.
Whilst this is a Luxury Cruise - it is only out to Sigma-19, it is not the same as a high-level delegation to say, Rheinland or Liberty. It could be as simple as a Divisional end-of-quarter holiday, as a reward to various employees for meeting production quotas. Whilst losing a number of employees to the Dragons would be embarrassing, and of concern to Samura - Samura Risk Mitigation may well conclude that very few of the people on board the ship would hold valuable information.
This is especially true if Samura mitigates any risk by changing security access codes, and shipping schedules as a result of a successful result for the Dragons.
