Well large efficient miners are usually the most efficient, and you would bias certain houses if the differences were too big, but yeah I agree.

Certainly the look of the ships would be different.

We certainly need more mining ships for the Houses, one for every mining corporate faction.

If we shipping corporate factions can have their transports, mining factions ones should certainly have their own mining ships.

Maybe, maybe not.

I think that some ship lines had better stay free-for-all.

Also, mining ships are ships, so... not a priority now. Maybe focus on planetscapes or base interior instead - try to model the inside of an ore processing facility, perhaps? It could even be animated. How cool would that be?

Or...realize that the overabundance of ships in this mod is pretty contradictory to what real-world economics would do. Unseelie, I believe, did a tryst a while back on the lunacy of every tom, dick, and harry faction having their own shipline.

It pretty much boiled down to why? Of course the House militaries would have their own shiplines, Outcast and Corsair as well (Gallia too I suppose). But the small(er) factions, even daresay the Hessians, would be using common ships, available to civilians too.

Companies like DSE, Interspace, Samura/Kishiro, Renzu, Republican (lesser Bowex/BMM) would be the Ford, Chevrolet, BMW, Chrysler, etc) of today's car market. They would mass-produce models for everyone, having dealerships throughout Sirius. Some would cater more in one section of the galaxy, but would have ships available to ALL of Sirius.

So no, the Houses don't really need their own unique miners. Besides, we already have five different mining ships, it's just that people only use one because of human greed. Get a body in a small-medium transport, and get yourself a Dacite, a Basalt, a Mafic, a Spatial. The GCME (Great Cooperative Mining Experiment) was designed for this kind of interaction anyway.

well i certainly do understand you point of "car" refrence... but is that true during war time?
and, there are only 5 mining ships? Compared to how many transports?
Also, another comparison to real life... yes cars are avalible to everyone.. but look at the number of car models on the market, and the number of manufacturers.

The point is that Mexican drug cartels do not have dedicated car factories. They may tend toward certain types of vehicles, but they don't build their own. In Sirius, everyone and their dog not only possesses a spaceship but also the know-how to put it back together regardless of materials available or previous training. It's like they teach you how to weld right after you learn how to count (which is in turn after your parents are murdered by <insert faction> thus giving you a lifelong grudge which you plan to fulfill by joining <insert other faction>).

That said, spaceship computer game. Corporations building mining ships makes sense. Someone has to, after all.

I believe I found `Dusty` or very similar word written somewhere on my Hegemon. Not my fetish exactly, can we have some other variations?
