I can understand how you feel. I had a OS&C Luxury Liner for the longest of time. At one point I acquired a Fleet Admiral from a Manhattan-diving Dreadnought. Instead of selling him, I thought, "Hey! I'll use this as a new RP character on board the Ark!' It was alright for a while, though I couldn't shake the feeling that I was talking to myself on my long routes through Sirius. I felt that the RP justified the abysmal profits, but eventually it felt more and more hollow. People just don't want to roleplay with a luxury liner. And then, I was accosted by a full Liberty Navy attack squad, bent on getting their 'captured' admiral back, despite his constant assurances that he was simply on vacation. I was destroyed, and said, "Screw this". Sold the ship and went elsewhere.
Back when the Buccaneers were around, we were thinking of contacting PanGal to do a roleplay about blockading the Shetland and demanding a ransom fee, but we didn't know how active the faction was. It's a shame to see this faction go.
I'm disappointed. I never really saw PanGal all that often, but you all were one of the best factions in my eyes, right up there with Gateway and the LPI (not listing factions I'm in/have been in).
In fact, I was just thinking about a week ago that it'd be nice if you were more active.:(
He is brave to disband something that he fought for, took lots of his sweat, blood and time.
Another problem is: The more the good guys get out from disco, the better will be for the lolwuters. I dont know him but people seens to like him, so come back on 4.86 PLS!!!
even though i left the faction before leaving on my vacation, i still had a lot of fun in PanGal since it was always role play first money later. I'm always poor and i don't mind that but i truly do love that liner role play but it seems very few people care about the role play that goes into making good OSI role play.
