The model isn't bad, but the repair ship is already underused and fails to hold real purpose. Your suggestion is to have two repair ships - thus two fairly pointless ships?
The model itself isn't the problem, I'm just struggling to find the reasoning behind it.

jep but maybe some players will be more interested in the RP if theres a new prettier ship... and it does not exactly haz the same task as the little ugly repship... the current one is a little max. for little station damages... this one can more and move big ships (in rp)

You could try putting two of the "Arches" (the things that are to attach to damaged stuff) Next to eachother.. not sure how it would look, but just a suggestion:)

The first one is the Homeworld2 Weaponsplatform outfittet with pulsar-turrets. Take it - flatten it - and there you have a kind of platform similar to what ive read about the Mobile Repairplatforms used in Reachs orbit (Yes, Halo). The third is from Homeworld Complex, the mod, they added small, movable stations for quarters and crew.
The Essence of my post is - Take yourself some freedom. You already took some steps in that direction by going for the clamps first, or the arm now. You might even go further and make it a real Fallback-point or Support-backbone perfectly suited for any military operation.
I also recently noticed that the green spray coming out of the Hedgemon miners sides deals damage. You might apply that to your Ship or Platform by adding a similar "spray" dealing negative damage. It would be kindof cool just having to move the ship into place to auto-repair instead of maneuvering around or aiming with some sort of a puny repairgun.
I prefer the 2 arm one personally, gives it a bit more of a functionality over prettyness feel. But hell, your design.
I like it though.. looks good. Feels to me though that if it was implemented as a repair ship, nanobots wouldn't do it justice... you'd need to be able to dock with it and repair properly:D
