Problem is, everything Junkers have is designed for a specific role. Except for the Collector, but unless you have mad skills, you're gonna feel wanting.

IMO Specific Specialisations are no good. I dont want to have 4 Different ships just so I can deal with Fighters, Bombers, Gunboats and Transports.

A Congressman uses a cannonball, paralyzer, trefoils, SNAC and a TCD. It works well against fighters, but as soon as he runs out of ammo it becomes very difficult to continue to deal damage (he has more than enough to destroy a few fighters who don't adjust their strategies to avoid the ordinance).
Do you guys agree the Recycler should be twice the price of the Mafic however?
I love ability to carry double razors, with fighter guns. That's quite cool, and ship isn't bad. Just SHF. ._.

Nay. I'm sure the Barghest can deal with at least three of the ships mentioned there. Since it can, is it therefore unbalanced? Gunboats can kill gunboats, fighters, bombers, some cruisers and battlecruisers. You see what I mean?
It wouldn't unbalance it if the Recycler could kill everything a bomber can kill when armed correctly. It's not like the Recycler would be overpowered vs gunboats or cruisers especially since it's so damn easy to razor (two congressmen proved that in a little combat practice).

Thank you, yes. I get sick watching those...17? engine trails, while bouncing around in debris fields.
The only thing the Recycler can do, is make terrible fighter pilots Q_Q in open space. I mean, terrible pilots, the kind that joust without doing any kind of strafing. Paralyzer + Dual mini razers will make such pilots punch holes through their monitor, crying in disbelief.
Ok, fine, it can take down transports. Except, we can't take down transports. No pirating in house space + lawful status to preserve.
As was said, going up against gunboats in that thing is just asking to die. It A) Occasionally fails to fire it's snac, to do shield recharge and cycles of the moon, and B) is a large, slow target that gets chewed up by gunboat primaries. Don't even bother getting out of bed for a snipeboat.

And if the power core could tweak just a bit more power that would be wonderful.
As stated before if a moth sneezes on Erie, or it happens to be the second tuesday of the month, or whatever bloody reason, suddenly youre .001% underpower to fire a SNAC...which just sux when you have like half a second window after your paralyzer hits and the target is right in front of you...
That said, a paralyzer/snac can make a one-two punch like no other. I've won fights in the first pass that way. Ineveitably followed by "Haxor! How?!?!" cries *grins*
...It does turn a bit like a rock though, but I expect SOME iniquities as it still mounts bomber torps AND standar grade weaponry, thank Gawd it wasn't euniched with *shudder* bomber guns *gag*.
You're forgetting One important Note about the Powercore:
- The SHFs you're comparing to Recycler, both have only 1 CD/T slot, while the Recycler has Two (Similar to the Mjolnir), and if you check the stats of Mjolnir, you'll notice why Recycler's Core is smaller than Mafic or Spatial... Because that's the main balance idea behind Dual CD/T SHFs.

Yup. you should try the order VHF. 6 class 10 slots,but worst power core there is.
I love my Recycler,and have killed a few GB's 1on1 in it. I just spam it with anti sheild mines,and then SNAC. Plus i got 2 arcangels,and debi's for turrets. Up against any fighter jocks though you are going to die if they are smart enough not to joust. If used proper it can,and will take out GB's,and cruisers. It just takes time,and 9 times out of ten fighters show up,and ruin your day. All in all the Recycler should not be getting into to many fights,as only a junker can use it,and junkers do not want the hassle's.

Tell me about it. At least you can mount the super energy efficient nomad weapons. You can also save yourself a bit of energy by using magmas instead of reapers as the reapers deal half the damage but use over 60% the energy of the magmas.

What sort of gunboats were you fighting? Also why on earth were you fighting cruisers (except for Phantom ones of course)?
You say "used properly", please explain how you use it properly.
