I haven't seen gravity generation by rotation reference in Freelancer. I'd suggest a logical explanation involving magnetic fields and footwear capable of magnetism to stay on the deck of a ship.
Either that, or magical fairy dust which a lot of our things seem to run on.

who's to say that the magic engines that power our ships without fuel dont also create gravity?
Can we not just use this nice, neat and handy reasoning? Less sciency for those of us without a PHD :-P and for those who just don't understand technobabble, especially fictional technobabble (however much based on real theory).
