I will be harsh but fair and I will also be objective when posting my opinion and feedback.
Firstly, I find it ironic that a faction which deals in smuggling should see fit to broadcasting that over the neural net. Of course, using this information in RP is to metagame - However the knowledge has been given to the player behind the character and it's now easier to hunt you down and make you slip up.
Secondly, For a faction which is Outcast in nature - You carry no IFF or Outcast ID to differentiate you as such. Player equipment and identifiers must match player actions. I suggest you look at this. If you had the Outcast IFF and Smuggler ID - Then you're a Smuggler! Right now, you're trying to be Smugglers while trying to remain lawful by using Freelancer ID's which is, in my book, a no no. You can't be both.
Thirdly, I got quite annoyed last night regarding the sheer "I'm a civilian!" rubbish. You have no idea how many times I hear that. Civilian's don't fly Pirate Transports. It was very easy to jump from one guy displaying [CoM] to one displaying [CoM-FL]. You're obviously part of the same organisation, I tarred you with the same brush and you made no effort to try and distance yourself from your compandre. If you're Smugglers, why allow yourself to be caught and tried like that? You run the risk of being barred from Liberty space which kinda ruins your RP. I was honest in my RP, I didn't want to blow you up but you didn't give me any reason *NOT* to do so.
Now what I suggest is that you look at what you are trying to create here. There are reasons why things work and why things don't work. Effectively, from my standpoint, you're trying to be all things to all men. To review what has been pointed out to you, there has been CoM-BMM (That's ridiculous), CoM-FL (understandable however surely if you're part of a faction - you're not freelancers?), CoM-BO (Makes me laugh just looking at it) and CoM. Decide what you want to do, what you want to be and stick to it.
Being caught using OC IDs with Sabres and shooting Navy, the the next day using FL ID and being neutral to Navy, Police etc. while waving your shiny civilian ship in front of Manhattan is breaking 6.10 rule. Telling that you are civilian will not save you from being shot at at. And docking at IC base after being told that "docking rights revoked" is 6.10 too.
You guys need deeper look at what you want to be and how you do it.

Agreed. And as LPI all I've ever seen from [CoM] vessels has been pointless aggression that leads to a battle, or smuggling contraband and failing to do any RP whatsoever. Example: I was chasing one [CoM] and found him hauling 1000 slaves in California (a bit far from Malta I'd say:)). I RP'd that the slaves are in dire need of help and that the ship stop, and uh no RP which eventually led to him being neutralised. The same problem exists with other such factions like -[XTF]-, the point of a faction needs to be elaborated instead of seeing one of the faction's members and knowing you'll be attacked.
I think if you want [CoM], start afresh and really get some story about who the CoM are, their proper diplomacy and make sure all your members follow it. Furthermore, if some members don't know English well I suggest you do so, as most people you'll encounter speak English; not to mention this is an English-speaking server. I look forward to a CoM wiki article if indeed you are willing to improve the faction.
