I always saw a GMG gunboat/ship to look more like the Karasu, only larger and more beefy. I see the Drone, only with a sleeker design. It's too Kusari. Needs more GMG utilitarian design.

I could see this design be the Hogosha attack transport and move the Raba back to the 'sairs as their attack transport. Never sat well with me that the Corsairs are using the generic pirate transport. It's a good vessel - just not a Corsair vessel.

I sent this guy a PM, but I might as well state my piece here as well.
To my mind, the ideal GMG-built gunboat is quite literally a modified Kamome.
The cargo hold gets reduced - filled with a bigger powerplant and engine bay.
The exterior gets bulked up with new armour plating.
The nose of the ship (currently hollow) gets armour plated, and a forward gun mounted in it.
Size, shape, maneuverability, weapon mounts are all right there. The Kamome is an excellent little transport, and I think it would make an excellent template for a gunboat.
