Just dun show up when we are trying to arpee with SCRA:P

the voice chat was pretty hilarious during that encounter, right jayce? (/summon scout!)

Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.

Its always the same. You meet up anybody who aint friendly and instead of talking, they shoot you, no matter what you try to do. I dont fly my ships in Liberty anymore its always "mine is bigger" over the system chat prior to them shooting me.

There is RP there. Well.. There was. When i had Smeagle over there i always had a blast and people gave me thumbs ups so I'm guessing they had a blast too.

It's there, you just have to know who to encounter and when.

Unlike in other houses the groups you mentioned don't have 30 minutes to talk before the good guys show up to do their RP.

True Roleplay certainly exists in Liberty. However, it can deteriorate very easily when one person starts doing something which ruins the fun for everyone.

Unfortunately, combat is a vicious cycle of revenge. A lone ship gets mugged by a bunch of pirates, and he calls for all his buddies to come and counter-gank the pirates. Eventually people just stop caring about fun and fairness and just bring as many friends as they can get in order to win without regard for the enjoyment of the other players.

There was a sig here, once.

Well, from what I remember, letting your prey to extend roleplay over few minutes is just asking for trouble. I've seen it from all sides - pirate, bounty hunter, trader. So I guess this is the main reason.

Just one example: When playing as a hunter, I though - well, how about I'll try to actually RP with them today, not just /l3 - /l1 or /l2 - blue message. The results - I got pwned by his reinforcements.
I tried not to repeat that mistake again. Every time I tried it again, or tried to spare pirate's life, I got wthpwned afterwards. Then I decided I just go for the kill.

Although I kinda consider it's ok, since it's way closer to the RL then when you're telling the pirate/trader the story of your life.

So It's nothing wrong with pirate giving you limited time to comply. He has to think about you calling for help.

I think there's just as much RP in Liberty as anywhere else. Just, there are proportionally more "noobs" who don't RP and do **** which makes Liberty look like a RP-less madhouse.

My opinion.

*Carrie Dababi nid-nods in some calm place in Liberty*

*Carl Anabis races after some Outcast sabres claiming a 2 credit fine for them blowing up LNS ships.*

*Lou Zur jams Xenos pilots and rogues, outcasts and other 'unwanted' scum*

*Zenaida doesn't give a damn and blows up the 'unwanted' and 'unjustified' people*

*Chetzemoka races through Liberty spreading the 'Trees are relaxed' and the cardie*

*Jake.Logan chases a transport for software*

*John.Woodpecker is barrelrolling and shooting a transport for not paying a 500k*

Too much rp for me to keep up.

On a side note:
PvP is just a way of RP'ing.
Chatting is just a way of RP'ing too.

There is rp there. Even some of the best on the server.

But the dense population makes it hard for a prolonger rp session to take place because some moron is bound to pass by and start shooting. lawful and unlawful alike.

Still, I appriciate some pirates who havent degraded themselves to 'pay now I bet your backup is coming 2 secs then i start shooting' and still talk for a bit.

If his char's RP is to be a greedy pirate who doesn't talk much, then I think he did a great job.
