You may not be able to log back in on that account for a minute or more, but your ship is almost instantaneously disappeared from space right after you log off the character back to the server selection screen. The way it used to be was that your ship was hung helpless in space for that period of time. Now it is gone immediately.

I dont know I have been talked to by people about F1ing out, because when I F1ed out no one was around me, and I was too far from a base, but before the time ran out, someone ran up to me.
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs
Well it annoying, can't deny. But I see 1 good point that whole F1 paranoia: if they start getting fined and sanctioned enough maybe they would start to read rules and rethink tendency to F1.
I'm already getting used to keep my ss keys handy.

Well, it should return back to its previous way then. And F1 should be heavily sanctioned. But still, dealing with the violators ruins all the fun..
Personally I don't know how to tell the difference between someones game crashing and them F1-ing in space, I've only ever had a trader disappear n me once, and he logged back on about a minute later said sorry and gave me 1mill for my trouble and irritance.
To tell you the truth, If someone does F1 out combat they are clearly a cheating idiot and know they are (if they did it on purpose). I would only ever report someone who had done it to me more than once.
To be honest given the fact that people who abuse F1'ing can be sanctioned (isn't it possible to look at the logs, and see the co-incidence between the pirate [or other patrol - I had someone do it to me on a LSF patrol in Z21 the other day] challenging someone and them disconnecting?) I think it's far more important to have the server running in relative stability than to have a long F1 time.
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
