Why remove CDs? You can just use EKCruise so that npcs never disrupt you.

Eh ? So you EK your trasnport, when you just sucsessfully ran out of CD range from a pirate to not get CD by NPCs but the pirate itself ?
Or do you continue cruising from the pirate and get CDd by a low level NPC dagger in your 5k Transport by a Wasp ?

(now revert for any situation CDs get involved)

12x turret slots can give you nice defence, with little support you could defend against a gunboat..
Dunno if it'd getting a fix.
Gunboats ... Not against bombers. Dont know when they will reduce the ability of bombers. With a bomber its too easy to pirate.

NPCs don't CD you in EK. If you see enemy NPCs getting into CD range, EK (at cruise speed), zoom past them, and then restart cruise once you're far enough.

Having to EK and all that fuss ONLY to get away from some damn Hawks and Stilettos is completely 'tarded. It only creates annoyance and randomness.

Yes, this worked in Vanilla.

In Discovery CDs reset engines to impulse speed.

Edit: Oddly enough, the NPCs don't seem to fire disruptors on e-killed ship.
