A real rebalance of trade I'd see when all - and I mean all commodities were profitable in the same values. Including petty stuff like water and food. Everything for 3 k at the best dropoff.
I agree with adding to the mining fields in Bretonia. I think it would definately add traffic to Bretonian space.
I also think that we should try to create a more dynamic trade route, where at the very least, the items sold at each place will fluctuate a bit, it doesn't have to be much, but just enough to show that there is some life to each planet.
God I can't emphasize more how much I'd like this. Here we are, the Omega Pirates Guild, I think the sole group on Disco whose primary function is to pirate, but there's barely anyone to pirate in the Omegas...
Just a handful of traders doing alien organisms/VIP, and the Cambridge>Stuttgart route is hard to pirate on because of the huge number of bases, even with a gunboat, a adv train can hold out long enough to dock at the nearest base...
Really is a bit sad that 80% of traders pass through Sigma 13, aren't the Phantoms supposed to kill em all?
How about larger transports which can carry 10k or 100K units... I've seen some NPC's i think which have
30,000 food or water.... stuff.. they sometimes block the jumpgates, trying to dock.
But make them horribly slow and turn like 1 minute to turn around or something...
These can then be used for intra system trading only, guess no one would dare to take them out of the system... and can probably use escorts to, can be used for specific RP events also...

That would only work if it has less hull and same shield as an advanced train.
Kind of like a skeleton structure carrying LOADS of cargo boxes.
So it's a potentially high profit, but ALSO high risk transport to offset the extra cargo, but in general, I see a lot of problems with it...
People would abuse it during down times when there are only 40 people online, and makes HUGE profits.

That's nothing. On their way to Kusari they go through Chugoku, which is about as OORP as it gets.
Also I would propose a new trade route: Diamonds from Rheinland to Liberty and Luxury Goods back. Makes perfect sense and perhaps it would divert people away from going through S-13 with their Diamonds (and yeah I support liquidating the Diamond - Niobium run next version). Not to mention it would add to Rogue and Unioner RP in Hudson, as they are said to smuggle diamonds to Liberty in unison.

There's no real difference to people power trading during downtimes currently with advanced trains. Same principle really. But yes, I would like to see larger transports, at least 10k goods. If nothing else, that certainly would start making all those power traders cough up the dough when accosted by pirates, simply due to the expense of losing that much cargo;)
But any such transport should have really low hull (say 50k hull), but still be allowed to mount the advanced transport shields. If nothing else, we need more variety in the 5k transport ships available so that people aren't just almost exclusively flying advanced trains.
What I'd like to see is a range of trains with capacity from ~4000-10k, and made into a class of their own. Then, only allow corporate trader IDs to fly trains, and make the smallest and most manoverable of them as much of a brick as the Adv is now.
That would make some Zoner and indie powertraders take a stand and become corporate, and it would limit the usefulness of trains in the edge worlds. I do hate seeing a adv train bouncing through the omegas...
