That is exactly i wanted to see. "unable to support a ship of your size" or "your reputation stinks" anything but just stop them.
If he has guard id
Check if he has from same or allied faction if yes then dock ,if no then deny.
I dont see a problem from devs side. Besides the guard id can be done only for those factions who have bs and cruisers not every faction.

Or if we dont say it a guard id say it somehing else but serving the same purpose.

First of all, caps are sooo easier to kill then fighters and bombers when both sides have large numbers on the field. So if anything, it's the latter 2 that should have restrictions, not the caps.

Secondly, why not use a more... common approach? Like, a pair of weapon platforms in front of Crete's and Malta's docking rings, armed with LM/Cerberus? (with a normal refire rate, not Isis ones...)

Also, I'd suggest that for ALL of Houses as well. With the only difference, that House capital planet would be heavier protected.

Weapon platforms armed with BS missiles in front of Manhattan, New Tokyo, New London and New Berlin? (nobody raids those, so they won't break any balance)

Another thing is that I really don't understand is why Corsairs complain about the raids. It's like the main thing that keeps Gamma alive.

Look at Malta now. Or at Order. Some outcast players were very grateful to us when we raided them, for example.

There's a big difference between "safety" in Omicrons and "safety" in House Space. Currently it sounds more like an ooRP reason of someone who wants to enjoy his peaceful stay on Crete. And that's an ooRP restriction as well.

And coirsairs indeed have "very safe" systems. Omicron 91 and beyond.

So, uhm, just turn it into fortress or something. I always wondered at the lack of defense installations at Crete and Malta.

The idea is good. However, I think it would also be good if Alpha and Gamma had at least 2 jump holes in their home systems covered by battleships. It would surely discourage enemy capital ships to go through.

I like the general idea behind it and I highly approve of Knajz`s idea with the weapon platforms (anticap only though, otherwise it would lead to more annoying basehugging snubs).

I see a big problem here though, that would only defend 7 factions from lolcapraids. Factions like Mollies, BDs, GCs, Hackers, Rogues, Hessians... won`t be defended by this system.

Restricting the ability to raid with caps is not the best solution and it would take a lot of fun out of the game, since everyone here will agree that it`s fun to see the big ones go poof.
Powerful anticap weaponplatforms are better imo.

Not good at all. It'd discourage snubs from going through in the fear of insta-death. Look at Edinburg/Leeds JG, for example.

Also, if you make it so snubs can't be instantly killed on entrance, then they as well can draw away battleship's attention and let the caps pass unharmed.

Put defense installations at Crete/Malta, problem solved, from both RP and "balance" perspective.

I had tried to talk about putting several defence in crete and malta, but its denied everytime. So im looking for another solution.
Besides i dont have ant problem with snubs, only problem with caps. And its not easy anymore to take down a battleship with 2 snubs. The new turret system is good, very good.. If someone can use the new turret system well then he can easily kill snubs than before(4.85).
Raiding with snubs were never the problem. I will also appriciate if those raider comes.. At least people of crete learn to use titan insted of legates.

I didn't mention all just mentioned those what came in mind first. All those clans who use bs or cruisers will use guard id. I have proposed this after many discussion.

Replace all ships with starfleas, mount admin shields on all ships, remove all guns.

Then we'll be open to talk each others to death on forum.

Problem solved.
