Also...balance.
And...Liberty already got enough cool stuff. I think other houses have a right to such things like Virginia, Ellesmere and an Alaska backyard as well.
RM keeps winning every battle now.
Well before westfalen fell, LN won every battle.
It made a lot of sense: Rheinland moves forces off to fight another war, Liberty moves in and does some damage/boards some things.
What does balance mean in this context?
Other houses do have a right to such things like Virginia and Ellesmere. Teschy did the Virginia system on behalf of the [LN], as it's our guard system and he was [LN] HC at the time. If [RM] had an individual willing and able to mod a really cool system, it would be done. Ellesmere is similarly belonging to the =LSF=, and you can ask them how it became a copy of the Badlands. As for Alaska... it's hardly our back yard with an Order Osiris in there, nor is it the dead-end system that it apparently was in vanilla.
Don't you have a shipyard surrounded by blue mines in Frankfurt?
I believe official BAF and official RM got involved actually. If I remember correctly, when Alvin said that it was a "border skirmish", Lobster replied that it was more like a full war.
When one escalates it, the other cannot respond without at least matching (or losing). So full war it is.
Or was until the admins took away a station from both sides.
I'd need to speak with the rest of LN HC for that, and they'd need to be online on skype for us to talk about it.
I can't see that being out of the realms of possibility though. I'd personally like to avoid an event with a predetermined outcome, however. It makes the event semantic if there's only one possible result.
