Ok, so how I understand it so far from all your post :
- Kusari State representative is the Emperor, actually the Empress Harley.
The Emperor is recognised and respected by all the factions of Kusari, KNF, KSP, Hogoshas (?), Kireitsu, Blood Dragon and GC.
It is however nowadays nothing more than a puppet, with no real power.
- The Head of the Kusarian Government, also known as Shogunate, is the Shogun Edo.
He is recognised by KNF, KSP, Hogoshas, and has strong bonds with Samura.
Blood Dragons and GC consider him to be an usurper, and want to reinstate the old Shogunate of Hideyoshi.
Please, correct me if I am wrong on any point.
Now, just some remarks about this situation :
- Do the GC know that a women is the official representative of Kusari ? I guess it could open up a lot of RP for them
- Do the Blood Dragons have an actual descendant of the Shogun Hideyoshi ? Or how do they intend to reinstate the old Shogunate ? Once again, I went through the forums and got so many contradictory answers (by a coup, by election (?? Yes, I found this in a one-year old thread...),...)
Thank you again for you time, it seems anyhow much clearer to me now.

Kusari number one : Emperor. Multiple Shogun's, dunno where you got that from Jinx, but in all my time on Kyoto and Kusari lawfull bases, i never read about such a thing.
And no, i do not believe the Dragons have a descendant, since i never read about that either. The Dragons just want to go back to the old ways, before the corruption and coup. Emperor tells everyone how its gonna be in Kusari, and the Blood Dragons back where they belong, by the emperor's side.
Pah! They'll set up a Blood Dragon shogun, and WHAM - same situation as before ;-)
There is a BD rumor that they think they can win the next election though... (although according to my view with lifetime Shogun, next election may be a while...)

I was under the impression that Kusari used to be a Shogunate, but there was a coup, and the SHogun was overthrown, with the Emperor taking control. Then it turned out that the whole coup was a Samura ploy to put a puppet Emeror on the throne, with Samura pilling the strings. I though that the Blood Dragons wanted to reinstate the Shogunate, overthrowing the current, Samura controlled puppet government.

The plot thickens .......

No Hogosha? So you want Xenos, Junkers, Corsairs and Outcasts to make Kusari their playground just like the rest of Sirius? The Hogosha at least are loyal subjects to the Emperor, and even if some of them may step out of line from time to time, they keep the gaijin criminals at the door.
And no Samura? They built Kusari! They are one of the largest keiretsu, and it is the keiretsu who make sure that Kusari remains prosperous!

In-game description and rumors say that it is still a Shogunate. The Shogun was replaced, not the Emperor.
(No Kusari would be so crude and barbaric as to try and depose the Emperor. )

ahh - i thought it was more than one shogun - all those ancient asian ranks make me dizzy. - might aswell have been china or somewhere else. - or prolly it wasn t several shoguns but samurai? err. ninja? - well, they all sound the same to me.
cant we reform kusari into a pure monarchy? - with one king and thats it - end of the story, no more confusing guesswork about what rank someone has - and if the king doesn t like someone - its just beheading. gosh, things can be soo easy. ( oh, and installing a king woudl get rid of the blood dragon problem, too - cause ..... ..... they don t have one )
