if it comes down to that I can even take some pirates out... but I don't think pirates should outnumber the convoy/parade so much so probably not.
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.

Besides, we just plain don't like Samura/Kishiro.
So perhaps there is potential for involving the [GC] and/or blood dragons along the route? Either way, failing that, i'm liable to be using my RHA character anyway XD
Fine by me. I was thinking about establishing a number of parts needed, so the events would go on until those requirements are met and the cruiser wouldn't see the light of day, or of the Hamburg sun for that matter, until then.

But just a little thing: So basically, RM and RFP would guard the convoy until the JG in Frankfurt, where KNF and KSP would be waiting for them on the other side? Because RM can't enter 13 and I don't know if you are ok with KNF ships waiting at the border-station in frankfurt?
' Wrote:KNF can easily enter S-13. I would imagine the convoy would be escorted by them until Frankfurt.
Thanks to everyone interested in it.
Actually I think you got it wrong. The convoy would come from Kusari to Rheinland, it's the other way around. So RM would wait the convoy at the Frankfurt border. Considering there's interest involved, I'm sure we RM and KNF can come up with some agreement.
EDIT: Ah, and Nidhoggr has just sent me this:
Quote:I just thought of something for the parade event...
Maybe instead of having something attack us, how about we adapt to something similar to the beginning of Star Trek 7? (Generations)...Except no Nexus wave.
Here's the idea...the parade is going all fine and dandy when RM receives a distress call from a convoy under attack by raiders (HT, RHA, OPG...whatever is chosen). RM responds to the call. But...when they get there, more raiders appear...An elaborate trap! The convoy flees, and Kreiger's Cruiser must flee as well, while the rest of the RM parade/gaurd engages the hostile party.
Once again, this is just an idea...Hope you like it
Millitary parade is on and they get a distress call. Millitary patrol goes investigate and fights off a small amount of pirates until they find out its a trap! A larger force of pirates outflanked the position and are heading towards the shipyard and the parade, which defences are weakened because the patrol left. The patrol is held off by small and not-so-hamrfull force of pirates, but it is enough to hold them off, so the parade is in real danger!

Because if they break off they'd be fleeing and would have to leave the system?;)
I like it. Good addition, Simon. As soon as I get home I'll organize everything and re-write it.
' Wrote:Well if everyone agrees we can always say the cruising/fleeing rule doesn't apply for the event.. like we did for the KNF prison event.
Yes, I think we'll have to come up with some house rules for this one. Which is why it's important that everyone interested post here, so we can have an idea of who's on and what to do.
Even thought the event is open to everyone that meets the alignment criteria to participate, it will be closed to anyone who didn't "register" as a participant. The purpose of this is not shunting people aside; is so that we can all agree on some rules prior to the event and enjoy ourselves during it.
I applaud Gronath for this great idea. Will probably join in as RHA, and maybe as Nova.
For the game script, it looks very good to me, definately playable as it is. As said, engagement rules should be agreed upon beforehand; personally I've got no problem to discard the cruising rule for this event.
But the Raven, sitting lonely on that placid bust, spoke only
That one word, as if his soul in that one word he did outpour.
Nothing further then he uttered; not a feather then he fluttered--
Till I scarcely more than muttered, "Other friends have flown before--
On the morrow he will leave me, as my Hopes have flown before."
<blockquote>Then the bird said, "Nevermore."</blockquote>

Thanks, mate. Hope this comes out nice.
Is there anyone against abolishing the cruise rules for this event? I'm most certainly not. I think it will increase the overall realism of it, specially considering the "trap" element.
Don't know if he'll be up for it or if the last event (the parade thing) will fit in his time table, but what about a little showdown between Krieger's new cruiser and the Varyag?
RHA would draw the bulk of the RM forces away and Krieger would stay behind (the idea is that the ship would need some "fine tuning" before completely ready to an open combat situation). As the fighters are drawn to the battle with the RHA ships, the Varyag comes from around Hannover and Krieger has no alternative but to fight to protect Alster. The ships engage and both get in a real bad shape, so both Captains decide to withdraw from battle.
Hey, Varyag. If you're out there and willing to hop in, you're welcome.
What you guys think?
<goofy> *Varyag comes from around Hannover expecting an easy picking on the just-out-of-the-docks Cruiser*
Krieger (as Varyag approaches weapon's range): Now witness the full power of this fully armed and operational battle Cruiser!</goofy>
