Seriously. Stop trying to say the GRN| can't have a Foreign Legion of their own. That's like telling the Navy to not have their own Naval Intelligence.

Of course it isnt lol!! I'll repeat this slowly for you, the foreign LEGION is not, never has been associated with the Navy. Where as Naval Intelligence obviously is! There is no reason that the GRN shouldnt have a foreign legion if they so wish. It's not against any rules, but to me personally I feel it's out of rp. Maybe I'm fussy having spent nearly all my adult life in the Military but thats just me. So to me, your comment above is laughable I'm afraid. I would no more associate the legion with the navy than I would the girl guides with the SAS

The issue here is that I am told I can't use the name because the GRN has 'reserved' it as such by creating this department that to all intents and purposes is inactive. The 1 member they managed to recruit was way back in November last year, not one applicant since. Like i said earlier, if that was an official faction they would have been disbanded but because they created it as a sub division they retain the 'rights' to the name without actually having to do anything. I am NOT saying they can't have a foreign legion, I am saying they shouldn't have one and prevent others from using the name if it's basically just not working. By that logic, any and all official factions can create any department they like no matter what it's relevance and thus prevent others with a similar idea from doing so.

One other point, you mention a space born foreign legion? That is exactly what I have suggested here isn't it? The GRN legion is just a sort of fighter wing.

If that's your attitude Rodent then that's awesome. I had no intention of treading on any ones toes. If it helps in game I see no reason why we can't assume the two legions are one and the same, with the GRN having control of foreign pilots, whilst the legion I have proposed has command of infantry forces. As I understand it, that's not something you actually Rp. You seem to be pilots only. And as your pilots seem to operate behind the lines as it were sometimes, I think it would open up some interesting joint Rp operations

The issue here is...

... that you blame a faction and it's sub-faction to be inactive and rant all the way that you cannot play your desired roleplay as you wish. What if I say you could? How about joining that god damn official faction and be the exact activity you expect from them? Oh, want to stay the boss? That's cute.

Yea, and that's what Jeremy said the GRN's foreign legion is. Don't act like you invented something you actually didn't.

On an other note, how do you intend to roleplay infantry in a space simulator? Pure text stuff can be done over the forums too, I don't think you would need much in-game presence to do so.
