Perhaps CR| could get a team, or the BPA Juniors can get some Hussar practice going. My BTE character was originally a racer, so if you accept Freighters (or I make an LF for her) then I could bring her.

This is a good idea, but with all of the groups showing interest, problems might arise when hostile factions start shooting at each other.

There are two basic way to avoid some sort of conflict. The first, more simpler way, would be to split this race up into several different races. Or, alternatively, there could be a 'truce' between hostile groups, and they'd compete in this race for the sake of honor.

Heres a racing event that was pretty cool: The Gallic Gran Prix. I won the Monte Carlo (Then I got banned) so Id be interested, you may want to look at that event, and the other races in it, for more ideas.

I would make the factions sign on to a truce for the duration of the event.
