8% sounds good; considering gold is considered viable at around 2%, sometimes even less.
A quick google search says beryllium is worth around 300-400 dollars per pound. So maybe not as good as I originally thought, but hey, I don't know much about the logistical costs involved in mining it, so it might be a good amount after all.
