And Spazzy, IMO, being the ultranationalists they are, I believe they would see all outside tech as inferior to Liberty made.
There are no liberty made ships they can fly apart from the Grizzly.
Sold in Alabama = pretty much good enough for us on "Liberty made" I also compromise a little and let members buy zoner made civilian ships such as the marauder as it would be entirely possible to have it bought off Ames through import. While it's not encouraged, I decided to do that so we can get a couple more ships if people really wanted them. They're still by far not group fighting ships.

If you compare Xenos gunwise with other small and medicore unlawfulls like them they shine in tech. Go fly with Lugers or Gaia angels if you does not like Xeno stuff..
I laugh hard at your flawed argument. Appealing to worse problems isn't the way to go. Instead of doing that, maybe you should consider seeing this as the first step to balancing the smaller factions.
Have you considered the pros the Xenos get? They get to shoot most traders without much reason besides them not being from Liberty, which is a privilege only one other faction gets; the Maquis. I find the lack of a broad access to ships an adequate leverage for that privilege.
Besides, since the Xenos are a very small terrorist faction, you logically wise aren't supposed to enter large conflict situation, and stick to guerilla tactics instead. They'd have access to things bigger than bombers if they were supposed to partake in big skirmishes, don't you think?
And I've flown an Eagle with Black Widows before, as well, and can't say I have much trouble keeping my energy steady. It's a matter of precise aiming instead of non-stop firing.
