Kudos,
Zahas
I understand you didn't like the fact that you had 5 crazy pirates shooting you. That's what we do, that's who we are, that's our RP. We're not there to chat or hold hands, our aim is to inspire fear and terror so we'll get what we want easier and faster. I am sure we did not break any rules but if you think we did we encourage you to submit a sanction report.
Zahas, if we need to bring this to a rule lawyering state then i can tell you this much:
No rules were EVER broken. The sails ships in question were not even close to enter the gray areas of the rules. Everything that happened happened within RP, with a solid reason.
If you want to make a sair and blow the turrets of transports as you'd like. Please, DO SO.
You are in every way entitled to do so, BUT YOU MAY NOT KILL THE TRANSPORT.
This applies to everything, even a cap can "lolfire" your hull down to 1%, but aslong as there is 1% hull left and no blue msg, that ship didnt break 5.2 or any other rule i can think of, possibly 0.0, but he wasnt really unfair either.
the worst faction evar what is your problem with me calling me retired is horrible cause some people are retired and they cant help it they were born with lack of oxygen
@Prysin
From my perspective as far as i know you'r not allowed to hurt the transport (get shields under 50%) untill he doesn't fullfill the demad you asked from it.
@everyone else:
scratch that, rule wasnt were i thought it was
EDIT:
@Zahas: No, the rule specifically stated "Prior to destruction of vessel"
It has ALWAYS been allowed to drain both hull and shield before the demand has been issued. Regardless, 5.2 must always be fulfilled prior to engagement, thus one must cover the roleplay to do so.
Pirates are free to do whatever they want after the demand(s) has been issued, they must however provide adequate time for the victim to reply/comply to their demand(s).
Pirates has always been in their right to engage anyone within their ZOI that is considered either an enemy pirate or lawful. Please refer to the faction ID's and the faction ZOI if you wish to contest this.
People who didn't learn memes from 9gag will understand. It's a joke however, the Black Sails are the last sane Corsair players and I would rather bash my head than bash them

Ok, this ends now...
5. General PvP Rules
5.2 All attacks must be the result of some form of role play. "Engaging" is not sufficient. An attack is any hostile action that drains shields to less than 50%. Being hit with a CD is not considered an attack. If a player is attacked he has a right to defend himself regardless of who is attacking.
There was RP before you got attacked.
6. ID and role-playing engagement rules
6.6 Aggressors are not allowed to destroy a trade vessel prior to issuing a demand and allowing sufficient time to respond. Demands may be cargo, credits or an RP demand, such as leaving the system. "Halt" is not a demand.
You were not destroyed. We can RP and take your hull to 1% before making a demand. We can also make a demand and take your hull to 1% prior to you responding to our demand.
6. ID and role-playing engagement rules
6.7 Attacking freighters or transports or demanding cargo from the same is not allowed for cruisers and battleships.

Prysin, you're wrong on this one, a cap can't lolfire on a transport.
And with that we're done, all Sails please stop posting about this interaction
