Damn I'm joining the outcasts just for one of those, that looks awesome, added that to the hit box being tailormade, that's practically a vanilla ship you've made between you. Bloody nice work.

Watched the avi, it doesnt look problematic at all. Agility says its somewhere between a gunboat and destroyer. I believe this will be a good addition.. Did you try to dock at Ibıza with that?

Of course, as with any ships of class freighter it uses so-called quickdock points. The ship docks without a trouble. I was showing that the ship cannot slip through the station or other objects. Separate parts may on occasion slip when the ship gets "stuck", but that is a completely normal behavior seen in game with original ships too, in combat however there should be no problem at all.

The problematic part was making those things work in the first place and properly register collision, not only for projectiles but also hitbox vs hitbox. Quite interesting findings there. The method I found is quite unorthodox and completely different from what other people did, but also much easier. The last part of the clip shows 3ds max with ship mesh and hitbox mesh.

Also I'd like to thanks to Gezza for participating in test as well. No crashes, everything works, surprisingly.

If you will continue like this, next release we will have disco ships with destructible parts and in 4.90 Disco will be considered "Freelancer 2" :cool:

Well, great work at all guys.. Its quite balanced as well since Outcasts already have a smaller dessie.. This med sized and well textured gunboat is just fit.

EDIT: Perhaps we could get all ships to have destructible parts by 5.00...
