I can do proofreading too if required. I'm an English teacher of sorts and I'm also a published writer/author. I also happen to have lots of free time and need something to do. Feel free to give me a shout if needed.

I can proof-read if required.

However, if selected, I'll have to know which spelling to use. American, etc.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

I can proofread, i've always got spare time where im bored out of my mind and i'd do anything to make my life less boring than it is now. I also have a lot of spare time when I go back to school, twiddling my thumbs...

So sure i'd be happy to do this :).

Thats something actually... do we use American or English spelling? Im English myself, so thats the one I prefer, but there are more Americans on the server..

I can also be a balance guru if you want. I've been here for enough time I think, and i'll leave my bias at the door. I promise!

I would be willing to help with proofreading if there is still a need for more people.

Igiss,

I would like to volunteer as a proof reader. I was actually wondering when a thread such as this would appear as I have noted numerous spelling and grammatical errors within many of the ship and weapon descriptions in-game, some of them rather annoying.

I am a native English speaker with extensive writing skills and an honours degree in politics and international relations, and would be very pleased to help out. If you would like some writing samples please get in touch.

All the best.

Igiss,

if you need:
proof-reading, grammar, punctuation, editing, plot-thickening, characterisations, cliff-hangers, emotive context and dramatis personae, &c,
pm me a link to the thread, or email me.

EDIT: i think i just double posted, but nevermind...

I think we now have a good team in term of balance design.

Proofreading is a bit more complex, since managing a team of multiple proofreaders will be a huge pain. We need someone to be in charge of things (or at least one person for 2 or 3 areas of proofreading).

I remember someone contacted me on Skype and told that he's an experienced text editor, but I completely forgot who was it... tried to search message history or everything, but couldn't find him. Maybe contact me again if you're still interested, and can see this message?

Well, I don't think I skyped you, but since come two days from now I'll be blocked from getting ingame for awhile (but still have everything else worked) I'll have absolutely nothing to do- I'm an established grammar National Socialist, and if I have questions I will be surrounded by people with doctorates in English. I've been writing stories and editing stuff for years, and only tend to miss things when it gets to the wee hours of the morning (like now, it is 4 AM). Start sending things my way and I'll have them fixed up in no time.

I will volunteer for proofreading if there's still positions available. I have a bit of freetime on my hands and most importantly.....spell-check:PI had a terrible life of english teachers always correcting me so I've learned from my mistakes. English is my only language so.....Im very fluent with it. By the way dont let my forum post tell ya otherwise with my "experience." I take pride in my work so everything would be "spot-on" if accepted. Just send me a pm if more info is needed!
