That's because outcasts have no purpose going in that general direction. Corsairs are comparably dead these days. Sorry, but it's true (well last time I played anyways) .
Outcasts really don't have much to do if you ask me. You can look pretty. That has to count for something I suppose.
Outcasts are comparably inactive. I've seen far more Corsairs flying around the edgeworlds than Outcasts. Corsairs are not dead, less active maybe, not dead.
I understand why this guy is QQing. I know some situations where player activity was lowered by increased distance. For example from Hamburg to Bering, blown gates. Two more minutes of flying aren't problem for me, but for many others. That is the thing. And OC vs Sairs?... Yes, that is awful, but I still hope next update will make them closer.

The distance that OC and Sairs have to travel to meet each other (namely Gamma or Alpha) cannot be compared with the Texas-Bering/Hudson-Hamburg scenario.

QQ'ing about having to fly a minute or 2 extra for lawful on lawful pew in texas is way, way, way different from having to fly long distances for unlawful on unlawful pew.

Im glad to hear it. The system layout and one annoying, route blocking base were to blame initially, as far as I could garner. No Dublin basically killed the Sails...shortly after we finally got our own ID too. Sad times.
Thanks to devs for erasing all hot-spots. And for making them far away from players as well.
Then we see threads like: "Why they all sit in conn all the time?" , "Lets remove conn", "Conn kills the game" etc.
People don't prefer to come across half of the Sirius in order to find anyone to pew or RP with. That's why 85 was successful in this term: action was always near.
