the raven's talon was not originally the same ship line as the waran. Just adding a tail fin at the back of it is not in my books worth the design for a raven. If the original was sleek then it should maintain ots sleekness and still look as the name implies. The waran should have its design separate and not shared.

The RT was originally an import. The devs have decided rather a while ago now to get rid of any and all imports (and rightfully so, if you ask me). Thus, this new civilian Nyx came to be.

All we need is for the Waran's infocard to state that it's part of the same shipline as the RT, and all will be fine.

I'd say that the current look is quite 'sleek', anyways, if that's what you say the Raven's Talon should be.

On top of that, the old RT had zero redeeming features except for its exceptionally tight weapon placement.

I don't like the fact that RT and Waran share the general shape of the new hessian ships. While RT's infocard stated that is was an IMG project at the beginning, I imagined it to look somewhat like the IMG ships. Its similarities with the Waran and the Hessian line are not fitting the description and the ship's history.

BUT I'd never agree to bring back an import.

RT could use a new model that's different from the Waran and the Hessian ships.

Now that I think about it even the Outcast ships share the shape... that's even worse.

and yea. u got the point there is no point in moddeling other ships right ? lets have the lazy devs or whoever thinks it is best to have same ships just little bit bigger/smaller
and all bw/civ ships same Eagle but with different color theme

We don't need representation for everything, imagination is a great tool. You can always write an infocard for /showinfo or get some pro photoshopper to make you images of a cool green textured Eagle you can write a story about on the forum, and if people like the story they'll recognize you as that Rheinlandish Eagle in-game, even if the ship model isn't green.

All we need is love imagination, indeed.

So the general comments here are: lets go the easy route and fix the rp so the talon and the waran match and we can justify adding only a tail fin to make them different.


So I ask you this. What is design?
The thing I hate about this is the fact that nothing was worked on for the raven to make it unique and stand out like it dis before. Its now just a copy. Whoever designed it no offence but they got lazy at the end and were like ooooo tail fin yes! Adding that would make a vhf definitely different from a bomber and screw it lets just make them look the same.

Im just sad the talon lost its sexiness. the design reflected its name. The name doesn't match the ship anymore. The ship needs to read: I have claws and ill rip you appart.

The primary goal was to design a replacement for an import. I do like it's looks, you don't, others may have different opinions, but right now it fulfills its purpose.

Got a problem with name-model mismatch? Request rename and infocard rewrite and submit your proposal for it. Or go and model your own unique concept of a Raven's Talon, texture it, make it ready for implementation, or find somebody to do all these things for you, and then submit it to the Devs. I'd recommend the former option as it's seemingly requires less effort to realize, but in the end it is up to you which course you take. But keep in mind that whiny threads won't have the same result as the two other options above.
