So how much Money are we talking about for two blasts to all our existing users. It'd be good if we could filter out the banned ones and the ones with 0 posts.

not really, some of the people that are banned could appeal their ban, I do admit /some/ of the banned parties should stay banned though.
the ones with 0 posts are exactly the kinds of people we need to be targetting. they came here once, we need to get them here again.
Right. So filter out the banned ones, and accounts created less then a month (or two?) ago. I just need a definite answer how much would two blasts cost.

If staff are actively interested in this I'm happy to write up a newsletter style brief that can be used. Could always be copied across to ModDB as well, if need be.
We've got a lot of stuff (cool stuff) that is being discussed and voted on which is taking time. We're looking into this, exploring possible options etc. It won't be forgotten about because it's an idea which the Staff have agreed could really benefit the community. I'll get back to you when more progress is made.
We can send out an email blast, yes. It'd cost us some money, but the amount isn't terrible. It might be worth it in the end.
Jammi, if you think you have some ideas with the newsletter, i'd be happy to take a look at what you can write up. Of course we'll give credit where it's due, but the most important thing is to try to pull other players back to Discovery. Showing them what we have, is a surefire way to go about that.

I have to say the idea of a newsletter emailed to old players is a great way to attract a lot of people back. If you or Jammi would like some help writing something up or brainstorming it, I'm available to assist.
