Hey, a fellow Houstonite! Howdy hey, and welcome to Discovery! I've been thoroughly enjoying my own Houston character so far; Sandra Carter, flies the Sacramento.Valley. I actually had her start out as a Universal employee, too, although her story has had her testing the waters of Junker territory.

Having moved to the southern United States has helped prepared me for the "Texan accent," although to me it's more about the mannerisms than the emphasis on the accent. Phrases like "I might could" in place of "I could possibly do that " or, "That's for certain sure" instead of "Certainly." Part of it is being lazy in grammar, which might cause your character to appear undereducated, but I personally love the charm of the southern drawl.
