Myself, @Unseelie, and @McNeo flew out to Alpha on a trio of Corsair characters because, y'know, it's Alpha. I said "hey, I'm in a chat with some of these cool Corsair Outcast (I really need to stop mixing the two up in my head) dudes, let me drop them a line." The response I received was not silence, or that they couldn't log. It was that they wouldn't log for such a type of interaction. Ever. At which point I did, in fact, get pretty upset.
That's full disclosure for Sombra and anyone else who is in the dark on things.

If an Outcast faction isn't fond of PVP, why on earth would they play Outcasts? Instead play Interspace, or Planetform, which are highly political organisations.

The sheer state of this thread is nothing short of deplorable. Thanks all, you’ve done nothing but remind me why I left disco in the first place.
The direct sniping
The opportunistic jumping on individuals some of us dislike
The absolutely vitriolic attitude some of the posters present have expressed
The pathetic winging about issues clearly unrelated to the OP
The blatant disregard for basic respect for anyone else
The sheer childish flaming.
The jumping on and screaming about conclusions without allowing the posters a chance to address them
This, right here. Is why the server is dying. Be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. You know exact who you are.

Saying them not logging wasn't "providing pvp targets on demand" makes it sound like you are accusing the players of trying to create interaction of being in the wrong. Raids are the backbone of Hispania activity and lore. To be an Outcast official faction, wanting to represent the NPC faction, and being phobic to these kinds of interactions is absurd. Its neither the attitude that should be befitting an OC Official Faction, or an official faction in general. There are too many factions right now that neglect their duties and the server cannot afford for that to worsen.
Let's face it. Outcasts right now aren't alive at all. I don't know what NCs precise struggles are, but what they need is another Outcast faction to support them - not make the situation worse.
I've had my issues with Crimson Cross in the past, ones which I believe may have inadvertently damaged the OC faction overall. If AD does a 180 on their policy, it'll immediately make them positive contributors of activity and on their way to being a great OC official faction.

To clarify, he's talking about me. I told Scourge to be ashamed of himself for that behaviour, because I'm an idiot and I have a short temper when my friends or values or violated, which really isn't useful or healthy. I'm not trying to put myself on a pedestal, I just want people to have the full picture. Honestly just dump the Discord logs here; I don't have them anymore.

I'm not personally taking a jab at AD. I'm fond of AD just as I was fond of Crimson. I'm querying why the combat aversion that Durandal suggested exists would be present for Outcast players. It seems like a strange to not log in and shoot at corsairs (if you want to be on disco, playing at that point in time, of course), even if you don't have the manpower to do so. Sometimes it's just fun to barrel into inequivalent PVP and just roll with it.
Edit: I'll always support anybody who chooses to make a Discovery faction.

Smuggling and slavery. You know how the saying goes: Cardamine, cardamine, everybody wants cardamine.
Very true, however, they also have a long history of violent enforcing of that cardamine supply chain. Just as Columbian Cocaine Cartels shot a whole lot of soldiers and police, regularly, during the late 80s and early 90s.
I'm also a bit sceptical of when outcast groups try to go "too lawful for their own good", although that's more of an NC bug-bear. It makes local groups politically irrelevant.

Taeni, you may actually have the honour of posting the first legitimate questsion of the night.
One that deserves at least some actual response. Once the staff have cleaned this thread up and I’ve had a chance to sleep the 3 hours I’m actually going to get before work, I’ll throw ya a full response as to your point. Sorry but I’m drained right this moment, and its late.
