I don't know about you, but I don't see any black holes in the system.

Black holes are... black.

They kinda, y'know, blend in with space... which also happens to be black.

If I ever find that black hole, I'm going to start sacraficing all the trespassing, powertrading, capwhoring, OORP idiots on this server to it, and feet first so they can experience the pain of their legs being ripped apart by gravity -_-

Actually that has a perfectly logical explanation.

They were trying to figure out a fuel replacement because Liberty was running out, then the GMG comes along and starts selling H-Fuel to the entire sector, eliminating the need for the project.





As for the Black Hole, it also mentions something about a giant swirling eye staring at the system, and Liberty space is hardly black, its a purplish color.

Personally, I choose to believe that the jump hole was either created by the incident, or that jump gates are built over jump holes to stabilize them =P

i agree with ten here, i have always saw the jumpgates as being built over the jumpholes to stabilize them.

as for the texas incident, corperate money hungry idiots cutting corners so they can take in some of the credits and put in their pockets

I highly doubt that, on the Freeport in Bering one of the Zoners said that the only reason that system existed was because of a Limited jumpgate range when it was built.

Look in the system files of FL and you'll see files co-relating to a black hole already coded into FL.

But the radiation field is on the other side of the star. That makes no sense.

The "big" "dark matter" cloud in the south contains the remains of the research facility, and the debris field around the Texas-California jump hole has some pretty nasty radiation characteristics if you set course for the Hudson or Puerto Rico jump holes. The positioning of the radiation field between the sun and Houston is a mystery to me.

You will also find the sound effect files for Nomad shields.

The game developers didn't use everything that they put into the game for one reason or another.

Not really, since there could be a multitude of possible side effects of the jump gates destruction. Since that is the only example in FL of a jump gate that failed or was destroyed we don't have much to go on and this is all speculation.
